Crowley joins Jody Mills, who is at a bar to have a blind date. She thinks that his name is Roderick and they chat back and forth. Later, Crowley finally says that they both share loss. Jody remembers losing her son and husband, and Crowley takes her hand and says that he's lost someone as well. Jody breaks into tears and goes to the restroom to clean up. She takes some lipstick out of her purse, while at the bar, Crowley sets up a hex. In the restroom, Jody starts choking and coughs up blood. Meanwhile, Crowley gets a call and tells Dean that Jody will die in a minute. Dean tells him that it's over and offers to turn over the demon tablet if he gives them the angel tablet. Crowley agrees once they say that they surrender.

In Lost Creek, Colorado, Tommy Collins looks nervously outside of the cabin where he's staying with his girlfriend Shelly. She's surprised that Tommy came up with her, but notices that he's distracted. Tommy looks out into the night and remembers when he was attacked by a Wendigo years ago. As he kisses Shelly, Tommy hears a growling noise. He tells her that it's a Wendigo and tells Shelly to go to the bedroom while he lights up an acetylene torch. However, he collapses to the ground, his ears bleeding, as the growling noise echoes in his head. Tommy finally falls to the floor as his head explodes.

Kevin wakes up on Garth's boat and checks his board of notes. Someone knocks at the door and Kevin eyes it nervously until Sam and Dean call out. Kevin opens the door and sprays them with holy water, confirming they aren't demons. The Winchesters tell him that they got the other half of the tablet and tell Kevin that he's closest to the end of their quest and seal off Hell. When they ask if they need the other half, Kevin says that they don't need to. Sam tells Kevin to keep working while they draw off the demons, but Kevin is too busy working to notice.

Dean wakes up and finds himself sitting in an Army office base dating back to the 50s. he's wearing an Army uniform and discovers that the door is barricaded shut. Dean slides the barricade away and goes outside, and discovers dozens of bloody corpses in the hallway. One of them is holding a newspaper dated 1951, while the signs on the wall say that it's Fort Brennan. A growling figure comes down the corridor and approaches Dean...

Kevin is sleeping when he hears Crowley talking to him. Crowley says that he knows Kevin is working with the Winchesters and advises him to give up. Kevin looks around but Crowley is nowhere to be seen on the boat, and Crowley says that he's in his head. The demon warns Kevin that he lost a finger the last time the crossed paths, and Kevin hallucinates every bone in his body breaking.

A couple park on a dark road overlooking the river and make out. A van pulls up nearby and someone runs past the parked car. The girl, Krissy, looks around nervously but her boyfriend Aidan assures her it's nothing. Someone runs past again and the trunk suddenly flies open. When Aidan tries to start the car, nothing happens. He gets out of the car and runs off, and a vampire shatters the window and yanks Krissy out of the car. Aidan comes up behind the vampire and decapitates him with a knife, and another girl, Josephine Barnes, runs up with a crossbow. Krissy tells them that the next time one of them can be the bait, and Aidan confirms that it's "him," and they have one down and two to go.

Dean makes his way through a factory, gun drawn, but Castiel knocks him down, breaks his arm, and stabs him in the chest. The lights come on and Naomi comes out and congratulates him on his quick, brutal murder. She tells Castiel that he's ready and looks at the dozens of other Dean corpses lying on the floor around them.

A man is walking along the road at night near Great Falls, MT. A driver is drinking heavily and come down the road, passes out, and hits the pedestrian. The driver runs to the man, who is clearly dead, and then gets back into his truck and drives away. The next morning, an eagle is picking at the corpse when a state trooper, Jack Spradlin, spots the body and pulls over to investigate. The officer checks for a pulse, finds nothing, and goes back to make his report. Meanwhile, the dead man's wounds heal and he gets up and walks away.

In St. Louis, a man, James Frampton, is paying off a prostitute, unaware that someone is watching them from down the street. As the prostitute goes on her way down the alleyway, she hears something moving but doesn't see anyone. When she turns around, Kevin shows her his badge and puts the handcuffs on. He then grabs her neck and rips open her throat...

Kevin wakes up on Garth's boat and marks off another day. After pouring himself a cup of coffee, he goes to work translating the tablet. Days pass until Kevin finally finishes the translation. His nose starts bleeding and he collapses. At the Letters base, Dean sets up his own room and puts a photo of himself and Mary on the desk. Sam comes in and Dean talks about he finally has a room of his own with no smell. He goes to get himself some food and Sam notices the photo of Mary and smiles. Later, Sam is going over the Letters' books when Dean brings in some food that he made and explains that he's nesting. Kevin calls on Dean's phone and tells him to come quick and then cuts out.

1944 In Witsyebsk, Belarus, a Nazi soldier arrives back at base. The guard steps away to light a cigarette... and something huge attacks him, throwing him through the window. The first soldier sounds the alarm. Inside, a group of Nazis finish their work transcribing work into a tome while the attacker continues his assault, ignoring gunfire. As the remaining soldiers prepare to fire, their commander, Eckhart, casts a spell of cloaking. The attacker bursts through the door and kills the soldiers while Eckhart finishes his spell and yells at the creature to tell its masters that it isn't finished. He then disappears in a burst of flame.

Normal, IL – 1958 A boy is sleeping at home, unaware that his father Henry is in the room watching over him. When the father tucks him in, the boy wakes up and his father tells him that he's going to work. When his son notices he has a pin with a symbol on it, Henry says that he'll tell him about it someday. Henry winds up his son's music box and tells him to go to sleep.

Ed Nelson arrives home and calls a friend, Lance, saying that they both cut corners to get close to "her" and that it's just a game. After putting the cellphone down, Ed goes to bed and dozes off. As he sleeps, a tattoo of a tree forms on his left arm. A horse neighs out of nowhere and Ed wakes up... and discovers that something has wrapped invisible ropes around his arms and legs. Unseen horses charge off in four different directions and Ed is torn apart.

The angel Alfie is tied up in Crowley's factory, beaten and bloody from the demon's torture. Concentrating, he manages to expel the spike in his forehead that is blocking him from the other angels. Alfie tries to contact Naomi as he hears his torturer Viggo coming but gets no response. Viggo is well aware of what Alfie has been doing and tells the angel that they'll have to put the spike back in.

At Carencro, LA, the waitress, Elizabeth, tells the chef at the gumbo shack to close everything down. Benny, posing as a chef named Roy, assures her that he can handle it. Once she leaves, one of the remaining customers admits that Elizabeth is quite a girl and asks Benny if he has any designs on her. Benny says that he isn't and the man says that he's considering it. The other customer, hunter Martin Creaser, calls Benny over for a refill.

In Oklahoma City, Gary Frieling meets his mistress Olivia Kopple in the park. He admits that he didn't think she would come after the last time, and Olivia admits that she didn't think so either. As they hold hands, Olivia hears Gary's heart thumping. He clutches at his chest and Olivia stares in horror as his heart beats out against his skin and then erupts outward.

At a pre-school, children are playing outside and a teacher takes one of the kids to the restroom to wash up. Her eyes glow black as she takes the boy in. A light glows inside and a storm suddenly comes up, frightening the children. As they run for cover, a tornado forms and the bathroom door rips open... revealing that the demon and the boy have disappeared.

In Kearney, Missouri, Chester Lew is working on his truck when his wife Mary comes out and accuses him of having an affair. She kicks the jack out from under the truck, trapping her husband underneath, and then drives the car away, dragging her husband to her death. Sam returns with food and Dean tells him get wind of a case on the police scanner. He's eager to get going but Sam points out that it's the first thing he's said to him since he met Benny. Dean agrees to talk and Sam points out that Benny is a vampire. Dean defends his friend, saying that he's the reason he's out of Purgatory. Sam wonders why Benny is still alive and Dean says that Benny is his friend. They argue over the fact that Dean killed Sam's friend Amy and Dean says that people change. He assures Sam that if Benny slips up and some other hunter kills him, that's it, but he doesn't plan to do it. Dean gets in the car and they head out.
S08E05	2012-10-31		Blood Brother
In Eagle Harbor, Washington, a man, Quentin, walks down an alleyway. Benny approaches him and Quentin is surprised to realize that he's alive. The vampire reminds Quentin that he held down his legs while the old man ordered his people to saw off Benny's head. Benny demands to know where the old man is and when Quentin refuses, Benny takes out a large knife. Two of Quentin's fellow vampires come out and Quentin says that the Old Man is going to want to see Benny for himself. Benny tells him if they kill him then he knows who he'll see when he goes where he's going. He then decapitates Quentin and turns to the other two vampires.

Sam and Dean break into a house and find a corpse on the floor, covered with a sheet. The rest of the room is covered in blood and there's no ID on the body. They figure that they missed whatever happened but Sam points out a laptop computer with a post-it note saying "Play Me". They do and the words "This should never have ended this way" come up.
S08E03	2012-10-17		Heartache
In Minneapolis, a man is jogging down a path at night. An overweight jogger runs after him, catches up, and runs past him. The first jogger continues on and finds the newcomer waiting for him. When he congratulates the man, the newcomer grabs his hand, thrust his hand into the jogger's chest, and pulls out his heart. Sam and Dean are at a farmer's market and Dean is catching up on news. He finds an article about the stolen heart and another one six months earlier in the same city. Sam says that they have to deal with finding Kevin and the tablet, and then points out that he's buying fruit at the farm market. Dean reminds him that he quit for a year and asks if they should ignore cases so Sam can shop for produce.
S08E02	2012-10-10		What's Up, Tiger Mommy?
An old man, Mr. Vili, arrives at a bank in Chicago and asks to see his safe-deposit box. The clerk is surprised when he says that it's box number one. She removes it and Vili removes a small metal box from inside the box. He opens it and takes out a bone, and tells the clerk that it's a very valuable bone. Vili then tells her that he's making a withdrawal and stabs her with the bone.
S08E01	2012-10-03		We Need To Talk About Kevin
One Year Later In the Maine wilderness, a couple is camping at night when a bright light outside wakes them up and then goes out. Something approaches through the woods as the husband, Will, goes out to investigate. He sees nothing and at first and then sees Dean, covered in blood. Dean draws his gun and asks where he is and then asks where the road is. The couple gives him directions and Dean takes their duffel bag and leaves.

S07E23	2012-05-18		Survival of the Fittest
Dick invites Crowley to sit down within the devil’s trap and have a drink. Crowley figures that Dick knows that the Winchesters are planning to use Crowley’s blood to kill Dick. Dick figures that Crowley has a vial of blood hidden away as insurance and offers him Canada while the Leviathans keep America. In return he wants Crowley to give the Winchesters the blood of a lesser demon and then get out of the way. Crowley considers the offer and finally agrees, producing a massive contract ready for inspection.
S07E22	2012-05-11		There Will Be Blood
Dick meets with a business reporter, Gloria Jane, and talks about his company’s buyout of SucroCorp The company is leading manufacturer of sucrose and Dick talks about how wants to improve health by dialing back on additives and making sure that Americans live longer. After the interview, Dick tells his Leviathan assistant Susan to have one of their kind take over Gloria while he contemplates another of the Word of God tablets. He then goes to see their prisoner, Kevin, and asks him to translate the Word. When Kevin refuses, Dick offers him a letter of recommendation to Princeton. When that doesn’t work, the Leviathan threatens to have Kevin’s mother killed unless he cooperates.

In Neighbor, MI, straight-a student Kevin Tran is playing his cello at home during his scheduled rehearsal period. In South Chicago, Dean and Sam move into an abandoned building and examine the chunk of clay they stole from Dick Roman.
S07E20	2012-04-27		The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo
Dean and Sam set up base in an isolated cabin and try to work up what Dick Roman and the Leviathans are up to. Bobby’s ghost appears to them and he warns them that he’s still having trouble generating enough energy to remain stable. He tells them that the Leviathans have already broken ground at the Wisconsin site and are making a state-of-the-art slaughterhouse. Dick has bought out most restaurants and is using the contaminated food to dumb down the human population, and then ensure their health and buy their loyalty by curing cancer and other disease. Once the Leviathans have created their perfect herd, they’ll start feeding on them and wipe out the species.
S07E19	2012-04-20		Of Grave Importance
As Sam and Dean stop for supper, a hunter named Annie Hawkins calls Dean. She offers her condolences on Bobby’s death and tells Dean that she has some old books of Bobby’s. Since she’s in the neighborhood of Bodega Bay where the Winchesters are, she suggests that they meet her at the Crow’s Nest Inn the next day after she finishes a case so she can hand them over.
S07E18	2012-03-30		Party On, Garth
In Junction City, KS, Four teenagers are camping out in the woods and one of tem is telling the other three about the legend of Jenny Greentree, who froze to death in the winter seated beneath a nearby tree. The brother of one of the campers, Trevor McAnn, stumbles drunk out of the woods, startling him. His brother Ray complains and Trevor dares him to call their father Jim and report him. As they talk, Trevor suddenly sees something coming out of the woods, although the others can’t see anything. Trevor stumbles into the woods and they hear him scream. When Ray goes to find his brother, he discovers him lying on the ground, his stomach ripped open.
S07E17	2012-03-23		The Born-Again Identity
A sleep-deprived Sam is running through the night, Lucifer’s voice echoing in his head. He finally finds a drug dealer who offers him something to doze off. Sam goes back to his car and tries to doze off, but Lucifer continues to keep him up despite the drug’s influence. After being woken up, Sam staggers into the street and is hit by a car. When Dean hears about the incident, he goes to the hospital where Sam has been admitted and demands to see his brother. The physician in charge, Dr. Kadinsky, explains that Sam has had a psychotic breakdown and has been locked up for his own good. Kadinsky takes Dean to see Sam and explains that he is resisting the sedatives. Dean tries to talk to Sam, who is still seeing Lucifer, and promises that he’ll find him help. Sam tells him not to put him through the agony since they’ve discovered before that there aren’t any authentic healers and there’s no point in Dean looking.
S07E16	2012-03-16		Out With the Old
At a dance studio in Portland, the dancers complain as the top ballerina, Irina Kozanzon, shows up late. When Irina does come in, she insults them about their lack of talent, puts on a pair of toe shoes, and starts rehearsing once the others leave. As a janitor works outside, Irina begins to spin faster and faster, unable to stop herself, until finally the toe shoes rip her feet off.
S07E15	2012-02-17		Repo Man
Four Years Ago: Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Nora Havelock, a Wiccan, drives out to a cabin in the woods and Sam greets her at the door. He warns her that she shouldn’t have come but Nora explains that she had to be there after everything that she experienced. They go to see Dean, who is preparing to torture a demon-possessed postal worker, Jeffrey. One of its victims is dead on the floor. When Nora tells the demon to go to hell, it promises that it will track her down and kill her when it returns. Frightened, Nora leaves the cabin.

Sam is running away from something horrible that is on his trail: a clown. He enters a garage and tries to lock the clown out, but it smashes in behind him while another one appears behind Sam to attack him.
S07E13	2012-02-03		The Slice Girls
A man is working at home when he hears someone moving around outside. He calls to what he assumes is his wife but gets no answer. Assuming he imagined it, the man goes back to work, but someone or something picks him up, throws him across the room, and then cuts off his hands and feet and then carves a symbol into his chest. Sam is driving to the town where the murders take place, and Dean wakes up. He takes a drink from Bobby’s old flask and says that he’s dealing with their friend’s death by honoring his memory. Dean figures that it’s better than how Sam is coping, by going off on a hunt. The brothers have confirmed that four men have died in the same town, and in each case their attacker used superhuman strength and cut off their hands and feet. Posing as FBI agents, the Winchesters talk to the coroner, Eddie, who informs them that one of the victims managed to bite his killer. However, the DNA tests indicated that the flesh sample wasn’t human. As the brothers leave, Dean suggests that his brother go on ahead while he checks out the area. As a waitress, Sally, flirt with a driver outside, the other waitress Marlene approaches Lee, serves him coffee, and makes conversation with him. Sally goes off with the driver and Lee follows her, drawing his knife. He loses them between the trucks and suddenly feels dizzy. Marlene comes up behind him and admits that she drugged his coffee with her venom, and then knocks him out when he tries to fight her.

They turn in for the night and something attacks them. When Mitchell wakes up, he discovers that their attacker has strung him upside down in his sleeping bag. As he looks on in horror, something charges out of the wood and attacks him.

Grandma Goldy, a medium, is conducting a séance for a couple. The wife, Cynthia, is eager to make contact with her Uncle Danny on the other side, while her husband is initially skeptical. Goldy has them place their hands on the planchette of an Ouija board and it begins to move. The spirit knocks twice and Goldy confirms that Danny is happy and has his dog Sadie with him. Convinced, the husband wants Goldy to ask the spirit about some missing papers. The lights flicker and the fire in the fireplace surges up, and Goldy is just as surprised as the couple. As the temperature in the room drops, the planchette levitates into the air and then drives itself into Goldy’s throat, killing her.
S07E08	2011-11-11		Season Seven, Time for a Wedding!
Dean and Sam make their annual trip to Las Vegas, and Sam goes camping on his own while his brother visits a strip bar. He chats with a waitress, Kelly, and describes his situation with Sam. Kelly suggests that Sam might need some time on his own. Before Dean can follow up with her, he gets a call from Sam from four blocks away, telling him to show up and wear a suit. Dean discovers the address is a wedding chapel and the lights flicker as he enters. He goes to the chapel and finds Sam waiting for him, wearing a suit with a carnation. As Sam pins a carnation on him, Dean wonders if they’re looking for a Siren but his brother says it’s nothing like that. He then tells Dean that he’s fallen in love and getting married. Before Dean can get an explanation, the bride comes in: Supernatural super-fan Becky Rosen.

In California, Sam and Dean go into a bank. Dean goes to the counter and flirts with the teller, Megan. Once he has her attention, Dean draws a gun and Sam blocks the door, and they tell everyone to get into the vault. Realtor Wendy Goodson goes to the salon to have her hair done. Chris sets her up for the hairdryer and goes into the next room. The hairdryer begins to overheat and Wendy yells for help, but is unable to remove it or get anyone’s attention over the music. When Chris returns to the room, he discovers that Holly’s head has been fried to a crisp.
S07E04	2011-10-14		Defending Your Life
In Dearborn, Michigan, Matthew Hammond runs down the street as a car pursues him. It manages to disappear and get ahead of him. Hammond finally runs into his tenth-story apartment, only to discover that the car is waiting for him and runs him over. The brothers arrive in Dearborn to investigate Hammond’s and Dean admits that it’s strange to be working a normal case after what they’ve been through recently. He notes that Sam seems good and Sam thanks him for letting Amy go. Inside, the detective in charge informs them that Hammond was apparently run over by a car. The brothers investigate the crime scene and find EM readings, and Sam locates red dirt. He also finds an AA chip and a monthly $50 charge to a place called Jane’s. Sam suggests that Dean check out the AA center but Dean refuses and goes to check out Jane’s instead.
S07E03	2011-10-07		The Girl Next Door
Dean wakes up at the hospital emergency room at Sioux Falls General Hospital as the doctors work on him. The attending physician tells him that Sam bashed his head and the doctors are giving him a MRI. When Dean wakes up later, he discovers that he’s in bed with a cast on his broken right leg. He tries to get out of bed and ends up on the floor due to the morphine. Bobby arrives, dressed in a suit, and explains that he got out of his house before the Leviathans burned it. He says that it isn’t safe and tells Dean to meet him at the ambulance while he goes to get Sam.
S07E02	2011-09-30		Hello, Cruel World
Castiel’s body, possessed by the Leviathans and leaking black ooze, walks over to Dean, who calls to the unconscious Bobby. As Bobby wakes up, Dean distracts the Leviathans and says that the host body will soon explode. The Leviathans say that they’ll be back for Dean and stagger out of Crowley’s lab, unaware that down the hallway, Sam is struggling with Lucifer. Lucifer tells Sam that the two of them are real, but everything else is a hallucination and Sam is still in the cage in Hell.
S07E01	2011-09-23		Meet the New Boss
At Crowley’s laboratory, Sam, Dean, and Bobby stare at the newly omnipotent Castiel. Bobby immediately bows down and tells the brothers to do likewise. As they do, Castiel says there’s no point if they do it out of fear. Sam tries to appeal to him but Castiel notes that he stabbed him in the back and has nothing to say to him. Dean says that Castiel isn’t acting like himself and the former angel says that he is no longer the individual they knew, and that he is now God. If they rise up against him, he’ll strike them down. Sam staggers and Castiel says that he won’t fix his memories since they rose up against him, and then teleports away. Sam starts to remember more of his time in Hell and collapses.

S06E22	2011-05-20		The Man Who Knew Too Much
Sam is running through the streets of a city as the police close in on him. Passing the Castle Storage facility, Sam breaks into a bar and the bartender, Robin, tells him that they’re closed. He asks for a minute to catch his breath, and Robin realizes that the police are outside looking for him. Despite her skepticism, Sam convinces her to let him stay. However, when Robin asks what his name is, Sam says that he can’t remember anything and has no idea. He woke up on a park bench and the police tried to take him in, and he instinctively knocked them both out.
S06E21	2011-05-20		Let It Bleed
On March 15, 1937, in Providence, Rhode Island, writer H.P. Lovecraft is drinking heavily and finishing a new manuscript when the study door creeks open. He calls out but gets no answer. Drawing a gun, Lovecraft goes to the door and looks outside, but sees nothing. He locks the door but a figure smashes through the window and advances on him. Lovecraft says that they didn't know, but the intruder kills him.
S06E20	2011-05-06		The Man Who Would Be King
Castiel sits on a bench in a cemetery and contemplates everything that he's experienced, from the emergence of the first fish from the ocean to the land, to the end of the Apocalypse where he fought with Dean, Sam, and Bobby. Now he wonders if he's made the wrong choice. Dean is driving in the Impala when Castiel appears in the seat next to him. They make small talk and then Castiel admits that he hasn't found Crowley yet, and doesn't know how the demon could have tricked him into believing he was dead. Dean says that he hasn't found anything yet, and tells Castiel that Sam is tracking a djinn in Omaha and Dean is heading there to help him. He asks Castiel if he'll call if he gets into real trouble, and Castiel teleports away without saying anything.
S06E19	2011-04-29		Mommy Dearest
In Grants Pass, Oregon, roommates Ed Bright and Marshall Todd leave a bar and run into a woman in a white dress: Eve. She touches Ed’s face briefly and then goes past him into the bar. She locks the doors behind him and then walks in. A man asks if she’s okay and notices that she’s bleeding from her side. Eve says that she is and then steps forward and kisses him. She then walks through the bar, touching other people, while the first man goes berserk and attacks his friend. Everyone else that she touched goes berserk, attacking each other, while Eve watches in satisfaction.
S06E18	2011-04-22		Frontierland
It's high noon in Sunrise, Wyoming, on March 5, 1861. Dean Winchester, wearing a sheriff's badge, and another man step out onto the street, draw, and shoot at the stroke of noon. 48 hours earlier and 150 years later, Sam, Dean, and Bobby search the Campbell compound and find a secret vault of books. They begin going through the books, looking for a way to kill Eve. Bobby finds a reference to the ashes of a "phoenix" burning the Mother. They keep looking and Dean finally finds an entry by Samuel Colt saying he used the gun to kill a phoenix in Sunrise, Wyoming, leaving a pile of ash. There's no description of the phoenix or any other clues, so Dean suggests they travel back in time to 1861 and recover the ashes. Dean preys to Castiel, and a female angel appears. She introduces herself as Rachel and tells them that Castiel is busy. She has no interest in their problems and accuses them of only calling Castiel when they need someone. Rachel starts ranting at them, but Castiel appears and tells her to leave. He explains that Rachel is his lieutenant and asks what they need.
S06E17	2011-04-15		My Heart Will Go On
In Chester, Pennsylvania, a man is working in his garage. He props the garage door open with a board, sets down his beer bottle, and starts hammering out his lawnmower blade. When he reaches for the beer, he discovers that it's not where he thought he put it. As he picks it up, he knocks over a jar of nails. As he picks up a broom, he knocks over a skateboard, which rolls behind him. He steps back, trips on it, and almost impales his eyes on a pair of clippers. As He pulls himself away, he knocks over a bucket of golf balls, trips, and falls beneath the garage door. A stray golf ball hits a mousetrap and hits the board. The garage door comes down, all but decapitating the man.
S06E16	2011-03-04		...And Then There Were None
Rick, a truck driver for a cannery, is refueling when a young girl, eve, approaches him. She asks for a ride and Rick agrees. Once they're in the cab, she kisses him and Rick pushes her away and tells her that Jesus is what she needs. She explains that God abandoned mankind, but a mother would never do that. Eve offers to tell Rick a secret and then lunges forward and presses her mouth to his ear as he screams in pain.
S06E15	2011-02-25		The French Mistake
Sam and Dean are at Bobby's waiting for their friend to return with more booze. Balthazar appears and immediately starts going through Bobby's collection of spell ingredients. As he works, he explains that Castiel has gone deep into hiding, and Raphael has launched attacks on all of the angel's allies to lure Castiel out. Balthazar draws a symbol on the window and then gives Sam a room key. Virgil, Raphael's assassin/angel, appears and telekinetically slams Balthazar into a wall. Balthazar tells the Winchesters to run and then telekinetically pushes them through the window. The brothers land on a mattress and the television crew outside applaud them for their stunt.
S06E14	2011-02-18		Mannequin 3: The Reckoning
Sobbing, Dean tries to rouse Sam out of his coma. The memories of burning in Hell finally fade away and Sam wakes up. At the Great Falls Junior College in Paterson, New Jersey, Steve the janitor is working in the biology lab, while an anatomy dummy hangs nearby. Its eyes turn to follow him, but when Steve turns around, it has disappeared. As he mops, Sam looks down and sees blood dripping on the floor: he has a head wound. The temperature drops and the lights go out, and a tray of scalpels clatter to the floor. Steve runs for the door and the mannequin dummy appears in front of him. It cuts his throat with one of the scalpels and returns to its place on the hook.
S06E13	2011-02-11		Unforgiven
A year ago in Bristol, Rhode Island, Sam and Samuel are at an abandoned warehouse. Sam fires a series of shots while Samuel looks on. They then leave, and Sam says that his wounded arm will hold until they get out of town. As they drive out of Bristol, a deputy pulls them over, believing that their FBI agents, and asks if they know where Sheriff Roy Dobbs can be found. When they don’t give him a straight answer, he threatens to arrest them. Sam tries to bluff his way out, and then beats the deputy unconscious when his attempt doesn’t work. They get in the car and leave.
S06E12	2011-02-04		Like A Virgin
Stan is flying his girlfriend Penny Dessertine in his two-seater plane and a storm comes up. She panics and begs him to land, and Stan says that they’re close. As Penny looks out the window, she sees something huge fly by. Stan dismisses it as a bird and tells her to close her eyes as relax She does so, but there’s a crash as something rips through the windshield and pulls Stan out. Penny screams in horror as the plane plummets toward the ground.
S06E11	2010-12-10		Appointment in Samarra
Dean goes to a Chinese grocery and identifies himself to the man at the counter. The man sends him upstairs and buzzes ahead. Dean finds an old friend of the family waiting for him: Dr. Robert, who used to treat John when he was injured. Dr. Robert introduces his assistant, Eva, and tells Dean to get up on the bed. Dean pays up and asks Dr. Robert to mail an envelope to Ben Braden if he dies. When Dr. Robert asks why he isn't leaving anything for Sam, Dean says it won't make a difference if he doesn't come back. Dr. Robert gives an injection and Dean dies.
S06E10	2010-12-03		Caged Heat
Crowley is busy torturing the alpha shapeshifter, for the location of Purgatory. He refuses to be distracted when the shapeshifter takes on his appearance, and takes out an iridium knife to inflict permanent page. It insists that it can't direct Crowley to Purgatory, and Crowley stabs it in the chest. When it still refuses to speak, Crowley turns on a baby monitor and threatens to kill all of its children. Unimpressed, the alpha tells it to go ahead and kill them, and Crowley decapitates it.
S06E09	2010-11-19		Clap Your Hands If You Believe...
In a cornfield near Elwood, Indiana, a teenage couple are making out. The boy, Patrick Brennan hears something in the cornfield and decides to investigate despite his girlfriend's objections. She reluctantly goes after him but they're separated. Patrick is suddenly enveloped in a beam of light and disappears. His girlfriend arrives and discovers that the cornfield has been carved out in a giant series of circles.
S06E08	2010-11-12		All Dogs Go to Heaven
In Buffalo, New York, a businessman leaves a bar and goes out to his car, while calling home to check on his car. He gets in, unaware that something him from the bushes. When Ron prepares to start the car, something leaps out, crashes throuigh the windshield, and rips open his chest. Sam and Dean are eating at a ribshack, and Dean calls Bobby to try to find a way to get Sam's soul back from Crowley. Crowley appears and tells them that he has a job for them. When Dean refuses, Crowley demonstrates that he can infect Sam with Hell by simple touch. He informs Dean that he owns Sam, and that what they have is a hostage situation. He tells Dean that if they bag him a live alpha, he'll give them Sam's soul back. Crowley shows them a newspaper article about the dead businessman, and they figure it's a werewolf. Sam warns Dean that werewovles have been appearing during other phases of the moon. Crowley wishes them well and disappears.
S06E07	2010-11-05		Family Matters
Sam wakes up and discovers that Dean has tied him up and summonsed Castiel. He realizes that Castiel is diagnosing him, and Dean tells him to answer every question. Sam admits that he doesn't sleep any more, and finally tells Castiel that he doesn't feel any emotions. Castiel then tells Sam to bite down on a belt and try to relax, and sticks his hand into Sam's chest. When he's done, he tells the brothers that he was unable to find Sam's soul. Castiel says that it must still be in the cage with Lucifer, and there's no way they can get to it.
S06E06	2010-10-29		You Can't Handle the Truth
Jane Peterson is a waitress working at Big Gerson's, a bar & grill. She calls her sister Olivia on the phone and wonders what to do about the boy she dated, and if he's interested in her. Jane admits she just needs the truth and hangs up. The chef then tells her that she's pathetic, and that he added something of his own into it. Jane takes the food out and the manager talks about how Jane is less attractive than the other waitress. As she delivers food to an elderly woman, the woman tells Jane that she once ran over a homeless man. A girl talks about burning her sister, and a bus boy says that Jane gives him the creeps. She finally takes a gun from the drawer, goes outside, and calls Olivia for help. Olivia tells her that she's a freak and should kill herself. Jane takes out the gun and shoots herself in the head.
S06E05	2010-10-22		Live Free or Twihard
In Limestone, a teenage girl, Kristen, goes to the Black Rose bar and finally find the boy she's there to meet: Robert. They sit and discuss her poetry, and Robert admits he's impressed by them. He insists that he knows her, and asks to see some of her work. As she gets it out, she gives herself a paper cut and Robert turns away, insisting he has to go. He runs off before Kristen can stop him. However, later, he returns and admits he couldn't stay away. Robert then says that he has to show her something. He pulls up his lip and reveals that he has fangs. Kristen, impresses, says that she knows it and starts to bare her throat. She wonders if it will hurt as she bares her neck, but he offers to show her his world instead. He takes her to an abandoned building and a muscular vampire leaps out. He compliments Robert, and the two vampires attack her.
S06E04	2010-10-15		Weekend at Bobby's
A year ago, Bobby performs a ritual to summon Crowley into his home. The demon arrives and notes that they saved the world, and Bobby offers him a drink. Crowley refuses, and says that he prefers a rare brand of Scotch. He figures that Bobby called him to get his soul back, but Crowley informs him that all he has to do is make a "best effort" to give him back his soul. In ten years, Bobby comes to him. When Crowley approaches him, Bobby reveals that he's painted a fluorescent Devil's Sign on the floor. Unimpressed, Crowley summons a hellhound and Bobby reluctantly releases him.
S06E03	2010-10-08		The Third Man
At the Easter, Pennsylvania, police station, officer Gerald Hatch comes into the locker room and checks himself in the mirror. He notices a cut on his cheek and tries to wipe off the blood, but the flow increases. As his partner, Ed Colfax, looks on, Gerald's skin begins to peel off and blood oozes from his feet and back. He turns to Colfax, falls, and dissolves into a pile of liquefied flesh.
S06E02	2010-10-01		Two and a Half Men
In a quiet suburban home, a terrified and bloody mother takes her baby and runs upstairs to the bedroom. She tries to call out but the phone is dead. Desperate, she hides under the bed and tries to keep the baby quiet. The intruder walks to the door, hesitates, and then keeps on going. As the mother looks up, she sees her husband's bloody corpse nearby and barely restrains a cry of terror. The intruder then grabs her and pulls her out from beneath the bed.
S06E01	2010-09-24		Exile on Main Street
One year after the Apocalypse, Dean goes about his normal day. He wakes up next to his girlfriend, Lisa Braeden, gets up, makes breakfast, and goes to work as a carpenter. Dean then comes home and participates in a barbeque party with the neighbors, and then works on the family car with Ben. That night, Dean makes sure the house is secure and goes to bed... with a shotgun beneath the bed.

S05E22	2010-05-13		Swan Song
Chuck Shurley writes the last Winchester story, "Swan Song." In it, he talks about the brothers' Impala, and how its first owner killed himself. The car then ended up in Lawrence, KS, where it was bought by John Winchester. Sam and Dean take a rare break during the Apocalypse, and Dean decides that it's time for him to trust Sam and back whatever play he chooses. He admits that he's always watched out for Sam, but he's finally going to stop treating his younger brother like a kid. Dean figures that if anyone can fight Lucifer to a standstill, it's Sam.
S05E21	2010-05-06		Two Minutes To Midnight
In Davenport, Iowa, Pestilence is posing as a doctor at a convalescent home and visits an elderly patient, Celeste. He tells her that she’s suffering from three different diseases, and then gives her a fourth with a touch. When Celeste wonders what he’s doing, Pestilence explains that he’s using her to incubate a special disease and then watches as she vomits up her life.
S05E20	2010-04-29		The Devil You Know
At Niveus Pharmaceuticals, two scientists are working in the vaccine development laboratory, using test animals. As they talk about a new disease and the vaccine they’re developing, the janitor suddenly interrupts them and says he’s seen the disease before. He then injects one of them with a syringe, and locks both of them in the room. He then watches dispassionately as the injected scientist goes into a berserker rage and kills the other one.
S05E19	2010-04-22		Hammer of the Gods
In Muncie, Indiana, a security guard stops off at the old, abandoned Elysian Fields Hotel. As he checks out the place, he hears a noise and goes to investigate, unaware that dead flowers in a potted plant are regrowing. He finally turns and comes face to face with an elegant man in a suit. The man informs him that they all have a part to play for when everyone arrives, and the security guard will be serving as dinner.
S05E18	2010-04-15		Point of No Return
On the outs with Heaven, Zachariah goes to a bar on Earth to have a drink and commiserate with an unemployed human. They complain about their respective bosses and outsourcing, and Zachariah complains that he failed to close the deal. The bar suddenly shakes and Zachariah informs his drinking partner, Stuart, that his boss is coming. A high-pitched whine fills the bar and the human occupants clutch at their ears in agony. Zachariah tells his boss to get on with it, but realizes that he's been given a second chance. He thanks Michael profusely and leaves, stepping over the human corpses.
S05E17	2010-04-08		99 Problems
Near Blue Earth, Minnesota, demons are chasing Sam and Dean down the road. The demons set up a barricade and force them to stop, and then smash through the windows. However, the nearby townspeople suddenly show up, spray the demons with holy water from a fire hose, and use Enochian exorcism rituals to banish the demon essence from the host bodies. The leader, Rob, casually tells the brothers that their attackers were demons and that his group, the Sacrament Lutheran Militia, will handle them. He's skeptical when the Winchesters say that they're monster hunters, but accepts their story when they show him the Impala trunk full of weapons. He drives them into Blue Earth, which is barricaded with barbed wire and covered by devil's traps.
S05E16	2010-04-01		Dark Side of the Moon
Dean and Sam are sleeping in their hotel room when two masked figures break in and prepare to shoot them. Dean realizes that they're Roy and Walt, hunters and brothers who bear a grudge against Sam for starting the Apocalypse. Sam tries to explain but they open fire and kill him. Roy is hesitant to kill Dean as well, but Walt insists they can't leave any witnesses. Dean warns them that he'll be back, and he'll be pissed. When Roy still hesitates, Walt opens fire and kills Dean.
S05E14	2010-02-11		My Bloody Valentine
Russell and Alice are on their first date and have a good time. Russell asks her to go on another date on Valentine Day so he won't be alone. They start to kiss, shyly at first and then more fervently. They go inside and start ripping off each other's clothes, and then Alice bites Russell on the neck. When she withdraws in shock, Russell tells her that it's okay. She bits him and he bites her, and they start ripping off pieces of each other and swallowing them.
S05E15	2010-03-25		Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid
In a graveyard in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, a corpse frees itself from the tomb of Clay James Thompson. Benny Sutton is watching TV at home when he hears someone at the door. He goes to investigate but no one is there. When Benny returns to watching TV, the door smashes open. Benny gets up and locks it, and then turns to discover Thompson's animated corpse. It lunges forward and starts choking him.
S05E13	2010-02-04		The Song Remains the Same
Dean is enjoying the company of two strippers when the angel Anna arrives to interrupt his dream. She admits this is the only way to contact him since he’s branded against demonic and angelic detection. When he wonders where she’s been, Anna explains that she’s been imprisoned in Heaven since Castiel’s betrayal. She managed to escape and warns that the other angels are on her trail, and then gives Dean her location.
S05E12	2010-01-28		Swap Meat
At a bar, Sam comes in and loudly tells the bartender that he's 26. After showing the man his ID, Sam orders a banana daiquiri and talks to the woman next to him, Crystal. She compliments him on his good looks and Sam admits that she's right. When Crystal offers to go somewhere with him, Sam seems more interested in staying and drinking until he realizes she's talking about sex. Sam. Sam is eager to have "the sex" with her. However, as they go, "Sam" checks himself in a mirror, where he looks like a high school kid.
S05E11	2010-01-21		Sam, Interrupted
In Ketchum, Oklahoma, Susan Fletcher is a patient at the Glenwood Springs Psychiatric Hospital. The head doctor, Fuller, is talking to her about the death of her son in a home fire. When he asks if she’s getting sleep, Susan insists that she can’t go to sleep, because that’s when the monster that killed her hospital roommate Annie comes. When Fuller wonders if she’s hallucinating, Susan admits that she can see her dead son, but she knows he’s not real. The monster, on the other hand, she knows is real. Fuller insists that Annie’s death was a suicide and that Susan has created the monster to protect herself from her own guilt.
S05E10	2009-11-19		Abandon All Hope...
A bank manager, Pendleton, buries a box at a crossroads of several highways. The demon Crowley appears to him and Pendleton comments that he was previously negotiating with a young woman. Crowley insists that Pendleton is an important client and then offers the traditional kiss to seal the deal. When Pendleton balks, Crowley tells him he'll have to set aside his homophobia if he wants to bail out his bank. The manager reluctantly agree. Meanwhile, Castiel watches them from hiding. When Crowley teleports away, Castiel follows him but discovers the demon's home is warded with Enochian runes preventing angelic entrance. Castiel calls Sam and Dean, who say they'll handle it.
S05E09	2009-11-12		The Real Ghostbusters
Sam and Dean receive a text message from Supernatural author Chuck Shurley, who asks them to come to the Pineview Hotel. They arrive and spot Chuck, but he says he didn't text them and has no idea why they are there. However, he quickly realizes that someone took his cell phone: Becky, Sam and Dean's biggest fan. She finds them and insists they need to come into the hotel and see what's going on. Chuck apologizes in advance and the brothers discover that the hotel is hosting the world's first Supernatural convention. Fans of the series are dressed up as their favorite characters, including plenty of Sam and Dean lookalikes.
S05E08	2009-11-05		Changing Channels
As the audience applauds, Sam arrives home at the bright shiny motel where he and Dean are staying. Dean is preparing a huge sandwich and Sam wonders if he's done the research for their latest case. Dean sheepishly claims that he has but a girl in a bikini comes out of his bedroom to say they're not done doing their "research." Two days earlier, Dean is watching Dr. Sexy, M.D. on television while waiting for Sam to get ready to pose as a FBI agent. Once Sam is ready, they talk to the sheriff abut a man who was decapitated. The sheriff insists that it was a bear attack, although Dean notes that apparently the bear chased the man into his house and up to his bedroom before tearing off his head. The sheriff insists that it was a bear but lets them talk to the dead man's wife, Cathy. She admits she must have imagined what she saw, but finally admits that she saw Lou Ferrigno from The Incredible Hulk tear off her husband's head.
S05E07	2009-10-29		The Curious Case of Dean Winchester
A 25-year-old husband, Xavier, comes running into his house past his wife and goes into the bathroom. He looks in the mirror in horror as he ages decades in seconds. His wife hears him collapse scream and comes to investigate, and screams in horror at what she finds. Sam and dean impersonate CDC agents and talk to the coroner who has Xavier’s body. She points out that he died of old age despite the fact he was 25 years old, and she can’t account for his condition. The brothers call Bobby, who sent them to investigate when he heard about Xavier’s death. Bobby tells them to check things out. When Dean asks about his paralyzed legs, Bobby calls him an idjit and hangs up.
S05E06	2009-10-15		I Believe the Children Are Our Future
In Alliance, Nebraska, Amber Greer is babysitting the neighbor boy Jimmy. She hears a noise and goes to the closet and finds him with a bloody fake pencil in his head. She sends him to bed and goes back to watching TV and brushing her hair. She hears a dog barking outside and looks outside, but doesn't see anything. Later, Jimmy's parents come home and the father prepares to take Amber home. He finds her asleep on the couch and tries to wake her up, but touches her head and feels blood. He rolls her over and discovers the side of her head had been ripped open.
S05E05	2009-10-08		Fallen Idols
In Canton, Ohio, Cal Hopkins invites his friend Jim Grossman over and takes him to the garage. They're both James Dean fans, and Cal has finally managed to purchase "Little Bastard," the cursed car that Dean was driving when he died. Cal prepares to start it up and Jim goes to get a camcorder to record the historical event. Cal gets in the car and the radio starts on its own. The temperature drops in the garage. Outside, Jim hears the car starts up and goes to investigate. He discovers that Cal is dead in a head-on collision... even though the car is standing stock still.
S05E04	2009-10-01		The End
In Kansas City, Dean brushes past a Jehovah's Witness handing out religious tracts and checks into a hotel. He calls Castiel to see if he's had any luck finding the Colt. Castiel has discovered the demons are keeping it for some reason rather than melting it down and warns Dean it's the only thing that can possibly kill Lucifer. When Castiel prepares to teleport to Dean to hunt the Cold, Dean tells him that he needs a few hours to sleep and eat and that they'll meet at the designated time the next morning.
S05E03	2009-09-24		Free to Be You and Me
Sam wakes up to discover that his dead fiancée Jessica is in his bed. Jessica wonders why he's running away, noting that he tried to escape his destiny before. Sam insists that it's different this time because he knows he's a freak. However, Jessica says that he knew that in college and she died as a result. Sam asks her why she's there in his dream and Jessica explains that his past is catching up to him and the ones closest to him will be hurt just like she was. Sam insists he won't make the same mistake as Jessica disappears.
S05E02	2009-09-17		Good God, Y'All!
Sam and Dean go to see Bobby at the hospital. Their friend is concerned that he may never walk again. While they wait, Dean gets an x-ray of his ribs which reveal the sigil that Castiel carved into his bones. Sam gets a call from Castiel asking where they are. Almost as soon as Sam tells him and hangs up, the angel arrives and explains that the sigils keep all angels, including himself, from finding them. An impatient Bobby tells Castiel to step up and heal him but Castiel explains that since his "death" he has lost much of his Heavenly power.
S05E01	2009-09-10		Sympathy for the Devil
At the abandoned convent in Ilchester, Sam and Dean brace themselves as the Devil begins to emerge from Hell. They run for the doors only to see them swing closed and lock. Unable to escape, they turn around… … and find themselves on a plane over Ilchester. As they watch, a huge glowing column of light arises from the convent and shoots into the night sky, narrowly missing the plane.

S04E22	2009-05-14		Lucifer Rising
In 1972, Father Lehne is at St. Mary’s Convent when a black demon-cloud enters the building and possesses him. Later, he gives a sermon to the convent’s nuns and talks about his “father,” who is imprisoned beneath the convent. The possessed Lehne says that his father was once an angel and someone sensed the holiness and built the convent there. He then grabs a large blade and tells the nuns to pray, as his eyes turn demon-yellow.
S04E21	2009-05-07		When the Levee Breaks
Bobby and Dean have locked Sam up in Bobby's demon-proof panic room. Sam begs Dean to release him, but Dean tells him he has to dry out from his addiction to demon blood and that Sam has been lying to him about it. Sam insists that he needs the blood and the power it gives to defeat Lilith, but Dean tells him that he and Bobby will kill Lilith and Sam will stay there.
S04E20	2009-04-30		The Rapture
Dean is dreaming of fishing on a dock when Castiel appears in his mind. The angel says they need to talk but warns that Dean’s dreams aren’t secure. He gives Dean an address with a piece of paper and tells him to meet him there. After Dean wakes up, he and Sam go to the address and find a building devastated by some great battle. Inside on one wall is the symbol that Anna used to send angels back to Heaven. They also find Castiel, unconscious. When they wake him up, it quickly becomes clear that it isn’t Castiel, but Jimmy Novak: Castiel’s willing host body.
S04E19	2009-04-23		Jump the Shark
A nurse runs through her own home as something chases her. She gets to an upstairs bedroom and locks and barricades herself in. Something pounds on the door and then seemingly goes away. The woman sits on the bed in relief, but something grabs her from underneath and pulls her beneath the bed. As she struggles, a photo falls off of the nightstand: a photo of John Winchester.
S04E18	2009-04-02		The Monster at the End of this Book
A man in a ramshackle hotel wakes up from a vision about Sam and Dean. Dean and Sam investigate a possible haunting at a comic book store, pretending to be FBI agents. The owner thinks they’re acting odd and then believes that they’re live-action role-players, pretending to be characters from the Supernatural novels. When Dean and Sam admit they have no idea what he’s talking about, the owner explains that there were a series of novels about two characters named Sam and Dean, who hunt supernatural beings. He shows them the first book, about the Woman in White, and the guys ask for the rest of the books.
S04E17	2009-03-26		It's a Terrible Life
Sales and marketing director Dean Smith wakes up in the morning in his apartment. He grabs a cup of coffee, has a quick breakfast, and drives to where he works, the Sandover Bridge & Iron Company. Dean has a normal day, chatting with co-workers, comparing notes, and getting praised as an up-and-comer by his boss, Mr. Adler. As he gets in the elevator to leave for the day, Dean notices someone starring at him: a guy from Tech Support named Sam… Wesson. After a few minutes, Sam admits that Dean looks familiar but can’t place him, and Dean has no idea who he is.
S04E16	2009-03-19		On the Head of a Pin
Castiel arrives at a parking lot where some great cataclysm has turned over cars spread devastation. After silencing the car alarm, he goes to the center of the lot where a woman dress in white is lying dead. There is a sword wound in her chest. Castiel says goodbye to his “sister” and then disappears. The police arrive and approach the corpse, which is surrounded by a silhouette of wings burned into the tarmac.
S04E15	2009-03-12		Death Takes a Holiday
In Greybull, Wyoming, Jim Jenkins and his friend leave a bar after a night of fantasy football. A mugger pulls a gun and demands their money. When Jim resists, the mugger shoots him and Jenkins collapses to the ground, dead. The mugger runs off and Jim’s friend examines the corpse… only to discover the bullet hole isn’t bleeding and Jim is seemingly alive and well.
S04E14	2009-02-05		Sex and Violence
In Bedford, Iowa, Adam Benson returns home as his wife Vicki is tenderizing meat for supper. When she asks about his boss keeping him late, he snaps at her but hastily apologizes. However, when she tells him she accepted an invitation to a friend’s birthday party, he snaps at her again. When she wonders why he’s so irritable, he picks up the meat tenderizer and beats her to death with it.
S04E13	2009-01-29		After School Special
At Truman High School in Fairfax, Indiana, the jocks and cheerleaders are in the cafeteria discussing Taylor, who’s rumored to have been sleeping around. They refuse to let her sit with them and start chanting “slut.” She goes to another table and sits to a fat girl, April. April says she feels sorry for Taylor, who insults her. April runs off in tears. The next day, Taylor is in the bathroom when April comes up behind her. She tells Taylor she isn’t fat and then slams the girl’s head into the mirror. She then drags the girl over to the toilet and drowns her, as black ooze drips from her eye.
S04E12	2009-01-22		Criss Angel Is a Douchebag
In Iowa, Sioux City is holding its annual Magic Week. The Incredible Jay, an older magician, is trying to impress a waitress in a bar by doing card tricks. Another magician, Patrick Vance, is heckling him and ruining the trick despite his assistant's admonishments to stop. A depressed Jay leaves and goes to the theater where he and his friends Vernon and Charlie watch a hip new magician, Jeb Dexter. None of them are impressed but Jay admits that Jeb is the type of magician that's promised and their breed is dying out. He decides to do the Table of Death illusion. Vernon and Charlie warn against it, but Jay insists that he'll do it or die trying. That night, he performs the illusion with Charlie's help. He's fastened beneath a spiked ceiling that's held up by a rope. Charlie ignites the rope and draws a curtain. The seconds count down and the spikes drop... and Jay emerge from behind the curtain, unscathed, to thunderous applause.
S04E11	2009-01-15		Family Remains
In Stratton, Nebraska, Bill Gibson is watching TV at his farmhouse when the lights go out. As he leaves the room, he discovers the door won't open. A closet door opens and a white-skinned girl comes in. Gibson is surprised to see her and says it's impossible she's there. She attacks him and blood splatters across the room. The Impala is pulled over on the road and Dean is going over reports when Sam wakes up. Dean has found three cases they can take on but Sam thinks Dean is trying to keep busy to forget about the time he spent in Hell torturing other souls. Dean ignores him and they head out to investigate Gibson's murder, which took place in a locked room. They figure it's a ghost and drive to Stratton. When they arrive there they find the house is up for sale, but fail to note the "sold" sign that has fallen into the grass.
S04E10	2008-11-20		Heaven and Hell
Uriel and Castiel confront the Winchesters and Ruby, and Uriel tells them to step aside: they're here to kill Anna. Dean accuses them of being heartless and Castiel agrees, but warns that Anna is far worse than a mere demon. When the brothers refuse, Uriel attacks ruby and smashes her aside. Dean attacks him and isn't able to inflict any harm, while Castiel renders Sam unconscious with a touch. Castiel reaches for the door leading to Anna's room but suddenly there's a burst of white light and he and Uriel are sucked away. Once everyone recovers, they check on Anna and find that she's used her own blood to draw a mystic symbol on a mirror, which cast the spell. She says she doesn’t know how she remembered the symbol or where it comes from.
S04E09	2008-11-13		I Know What You Did Last Summer
A young woman, Anna Milton, is confined at a mental hospital as her psychiatrist tries to get her to explain what she did. Anna says that she tried to warn everyone of what she now knows to be true: that the Apocalypse is coming. Anna tells her psychiatrist how a demon, Lilith, is going to free Lucifer by unlocking 66 of the 600 Seals, and that even the angels can't stop him. Once Lucifer is freed, the Apocalypse will arrive and they'll die.
S04E07	2008-10-30		It's the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester
Two days before Halloween, Mrs. Wallace returns home from the store with candy for the trick-or-treaters. Her husband Luke is feeding their baby. She puts the candy away, telling him to stay away from it while she takes the baby upstairs. As soon as she's gone, he gets into the candy and eats one piece. He winces in pain and discovers there's a razor blade in his mouth. He takes it out but then collapses to the ground, spitting out another razor blade and choking blood. Mrs. Wallace returns a few seconds later to find him dead on the floor.
S04E08	2008-11-06		Wishful Thinking
A woman, Candace Armstrong, is taking a shower at a women's health facility in Concrete, Washington. She's unaware that a mysterious teenage boy is stalking her, fading in and out of visibility. She finally tosses a towel toward a rack and hits him instead. Thinking he's a ghost, she screams and he tries to apologize. The guys are eating at a restaurant and Sam questions Dean about why Uriel thought Dean remembered his time in Hell. Dean again denies remembering anything of his four months in Hell and note that Uriel was a dick. Sam drops the matter and checks sightings, but doesn't find a whole lot except for a report of a ghost in a women's shower that threw a woman down a flight of stairs. Dean immediately insists on going to investigate. They arrive in town and while Dean goes to check out the healthy facility, Sam meets with Candace at a Chinese restaurant. He claims to be a writer doing research on the supernatural and gets her to describe the encounter. She explains that she accidentally fell down the stairs and the ghost tried to help her, and then asked her not to tell his mother. As they talk, a homely looking guy and a beautiful woman flirt at the next table.
S04E06	2008-10-23		Yellow Fever
Tvrage Dean, wearing a suit, is running down a street as the sound of hellhounds in pursuit echo behind him. He yells a warning to a homeless man, stumbles and falls, ten turns to see his pursuer behind him: a small dog with a pink ribbon. Dean scrambles to his feat and runs away from it.
S04E05	2008-10-16		Monster Movie
Dean and Sam go to Pennsylvania to investigate reports of a murder apparently committed by a vampire. Sam is distracted by the recent series of prophecies and involvement of angels, but Dean assures him it's time they get back to good old black-and-white monster hunting. The town is celebrating Oktoberfest and the brothers meet with Sheriff Dietrich, claiming to be FBI agents. He shows them the murder victim at the morgue, and she has bite marks on her neck. They then go to the local tavern to talk to the one witness, Ed Brewer. The brothers run into Jamie, the bartender, who Dean flirts with a bit. They then find Ed, who describes the killer as an exact match for Dracula down to the cape, the medallion, and the Eastern European accent.
S04E04	2008-10-09		Metamorphosis
A captured demon taunts Sam and Ruby, the ones who captured it. They demand to know Lilith's whereabouts but it refuses to talk and instead taunts Sam about sleeping with a demon. Angry, Sam uses his psychic abilities and forces the black demon essence from the human host body. They're unaware that Dean is watching them from hiding, having gone to the address that Castiel provided. Sam and Ruby tend to the human host and he tells her that the headaches from using his powers are gone. Dean steps out of the shadows and asks what's going on. He quickly realizes who Ruby is in her new host body and attacks her. She fights back but Sam calls them off each other. Ruby gets the human host out of the building and Dean leaves, furious.
S04E03	2008-10-02		In the Beginning
Dean and Sam are holed up in a hotel room. After Dean dozes off, Sam slips out and meets with Ruby outside. As they drive away, Ruby wonders if Sam's ready and Dean insists he's definitely ready. Dean is having a dream of his time in Hell and wakes up to find Castiel sitting on the bed next to him. Castiel asks what he's dreaming about, and then tells Dean there's something he needs to stop. The angel then touches Dean's forehead and he passes out.
S04E02	2008-09-25		Are You There, God? It's Me, Dean Winchester
Olivia Lowry, a Hunter, is sleeping on the couch when her TV switches to a blank channel and the air temperature drops. She goes to a hidden closet and takes out an EMF meter, and registers a massive reading of spiritual entity. Bobby calls on her answering machine but she's busy grabbing a gun and checking out her house. The ghost of a man appears before her. She draws back, clearly recognizing him, and then fires a round of salt. She starts to make a circle of salt but the man's spirit reforms. Olivia begs him for forgiveness and then hears someone behind her: a female ghost, who shoves her hand into Olivia's stomach.
S04E01	2008-09-18		Lazarus Rising
Dean wakes up with the memory of agony… and finds himself in a casket. He breaks his way through the lid and finds himself in a field with a single wooden cross to mark his grave. He looks around and finds himself in the center of a clearing with the trees blasted away all around. Dean starts walking down the road to a closed gas station. He breaks in and finds a newspaper that informs him it’s now September. Despite memories of his stomach being ripped open, there’s no sign of an injury. However, there are claw marks on his right shoulder. He starts to steal food and supplies but suddenly the television comes on by itself. He grabs some salt and tries to seal the building but the windows explode inward.

S03E16	2008-05-15		No Rest For the Wicked
Dean is running through the woods and finds himself face to face with a hellhound. It follows him as he tries to run away, and brings him down. As it starts to rip him open… he awakes, having dozed off while reading up on hell hounds. Sam comes in and admits the only have 30 hours left before Dean's year-long grace period ends and Lilith can collect his soul. Bobby has a lead on Lilith but as they leave, Dean hallucinates that Dean's face is corrupted.
S03E15	2008-05-08		Time is on My Side
In Erie, Pennsylvania, two men leave a health club for the night and head for home. One fumbles in his trunk as a figure comes up behind him, and then grabs him and chloroforms him unconscious. Later, he staggers into a hospital, bleeding from an incision in his stomach before collapsing dead. Sam and Dean are using holy water and a devil's trap to interrogate a captive demon, who refuses to speak because of its fear of the demon who holds the contract on Dean's soul. They exorcise the demon, killing the host body, and then get a call from Bobby about the dead man in the hospital. It turns out he was covered in bloody fingerprints that belong to Doc Benton, a man who supposedly died in 1981. Sam suggests that zombies are involved and convinces Dean they should check it out. they go to Erie and talk to a suspicious doctor who nonetheless confirms that the incision in the victim's stomach was made by a skilled surgeon using a scalpel. He also directs them to another victim, Mr. Beetle, who survived but had his kidney removed. Beetle doesn't have anything to contribute other then that he was attacked from behind and never saw the man who took his kidney, stitched him back up, and left him in a bathtub filled with ice.
S03E14	2008-05-01		Long-Distance Call
Milan, Ohio Ben Waters is in his house with a thunderstorm outside, and is drinking heavily. He answers the phone and talks to the woman at the other end, Linda. She wants to know if he's thought about "it" and asks him to come to her. He says he's in love with his wife and refuses. The phone rings again and she begs him to come to her. He hangs up and rips out the cord and throws the phone to the floor. It rings yet again and doesn't stop. Ben takes a gun out of his desk and kills himself.
S03E13	2008-04-24		Ghostfacers!
Ed Zeddmore and Harry Spangler, formerly the Internet "Hellhounds," have decided to put their expertise with the supernatural to good use. They've taken advantage of the writers' strike to make a demo tape for their new reality TV show: Ghostfacers! The Ghostfacers are Harry, Ed, Ed's adopted sister Maggie, shaman Kenny Spruce, and intern Alan Corbett. They investigate haunted houses and supernatural phenomena while getting everything on tape. Their new target is the Morton House: the place has been plagued by mysterious disappearances which always occur every four years on February 29. They meet in Ed's garage plan their approach, but are interrupted when Ed's father opens the door.
S03E12	2008-02-21		Jus in Bello
In Monument, Colorado, Dean and Sam break into Bela’s hotel room looking for the Colt, only to find that she’s gone and taken the gun with them. Bela calls to tell them she’s already ahead of them but denies she’s going to sell it. When Dean threatens to come after her, she says she’s already taken precautions… and the Monument police bust in and take the brothers prisoner. Special Agent Victor Henricksen comes in and informs them they’re in serious trouble.
S03E11	2008-02-14		Mystery Spot
Sam wakes up in a hotel room while Heat of the Moment plays on the radio alarm. Dean goes through his (long) morning ritual and they go to the local diner. Dean would rather be looking for Bela, who has the Colt, but with no leads Sam's decided they should check out the reported disappearance of a Professor Hasselback who visited the local Mystery Spot, a gravity-defying tourist attraction. The waitress, Doris, spills a bottle of hot sauce on the floor. Outside, the guys walk by a dog and an attractive blond bumps into Dean. They walk by two men moving a heavy desk and decide to break into the Mystery Spot that night. They don't find anything unusual, but the owner, Mr. Carpiak, comes after them with a shotgun. When Dean tries to calm him down. Carpiak shoots him down dead.
S03E10	2008-02-07		Dream a Little Dream of Me
Bobby is checking out an old house in the dark, when he hears a noise. Investigating, he's startled when a woman dressed in white throws herself at him and screams. A hotel maid enters a room and finds Bobby on the bed, sleeping. She tries to wake him up but discovers he's in a coma.
S03E09	2008-01-31		Malleus Maleficarum
The Duttons, Paul and Janet, return home from a party and Janet goes into the bathroom to prepare for bed. Somewhere else, a woman chants over mystic items then takes out a toothbrush and drips some of her own blood on it. In her bathroom, Janet is brushing her teeth when one of them comes loose, and then another, and another. The bathroom door slams shut in her husband's face and Janet collapses to the floor, spitting out teeth. The door finally opens and Paul rushes in to find Janet, dead.
S03E08	2007-12-13		A Very Supernatural Christmas
One year ago in Seattle, a grandfather arrives to visit his family, including his grandson eager for Christmas the next day. That night, the grandfather dresses up as Santa and then rings sleigh bells. However, he hears a thump on the roof and sees soot drift down the chimney. He looks up to see what’s inside and something grabs him and yanks him up the chimney. The grandson comes down and looks in horror as a bloody boot falls down the chimney.
S03E07	2007-11-15		Fresh Blood
Bela has made a delivery and is returning to her car when a man confronts her at gunpoint: Gordon Walker the rogue Hunter. Bela has heard of him by reputation and thought he was in prison, but Gordon notes he escaped. He demands to know where Sam is, claiming he’s the Antichrist. Bela refuses to tell him... unless he pays her upfront. He doesn’t have any cash but she takes his hundred-year-old mojo bag then calls Dean.
S03E06	2007-11-08		Red Sky at Morning
A young woman, Sheila Case, is jogging past the docks when she spots something in the harbor: a three-masted clipper ship from the turn of the century, sailing ahead of the oncoming storm. It disappears and she goes back to her house to take a shower. As she does, a shadowy figure appears behind the glass but when she turns to look, it disappears. She goes back to her shower... and the figure appears in the shower with her, and kills her.
S03E05	2007-11-01		Bedtime Stories
Three overweight brothers are working on a house late at night, and hear something prowling around. One of them, Kyle, goes to look and some savage unseen creature attacks and kills his two brothers before coming after him. Dean and Sam are heading for the town and arguing. Sam wants to kill the Crossroad Demon that Dean negotiated with, using the rebuilt Cold. Dean refuses and plays the older brother card. They figure the killer is a werewolf and go to the hospital where Kyle is still alive but wounded. Kyle says that the killer was human, with a tattoo of a coyote on his arm. The attending doctor, Garrison, reveals that Kyle’s brothers were brutally killed but there’s no sign of what the brothers believe would be a werewolf attack. They also can’t figure out why the werewolf wouldn’t have finished its attack on Kyle.
S03E04	2007-10-25		Sin City
In Elizabethtown, Ohio, a nun walks into a nearly empty church. The head priest, Father Gil, walks her out to the car but a man, Andy, steps out onto the balcony above them. He tells them that God has abandoned them and then shoots himself.
S03E03	2007-10-18		Bad Day at Black Rock
In prison, a man comes to see hunter Gordon Walker and tells him on the demon release from the Hell Gate. Gordon doesn’t believe that the Winchesters tried to stop it and tells the man, Kubrick, to kill Sam. Sam and Dean are on the road and discussing the female demon, Sam, who offered her help. Dean doesn’t believe she plans to help them but they’re interrupted when they get a call on their father’s old phone. Sam is informed that someone broke into their father’s container in Buffalo.
S03E02	2007-10-11		The Kids Are Alright
In Cicero, Indiana, a woman’s ex-husband drops off their daughter Katie. After Katie’s father leaves, she admits that she saw monsters at his house. Meanwhile, the ex-husband goes home and enters his workshop. The table saw starts up by itself. He turns it off and starts to go, but it starts up again. He goes over to figure out what’s wrong with it… and someone comes up behind him and shoves him onto it.
S03E01	2007-10-04		The Magnificent Seven
Oak Park, IL resident Walter Rosen takes his garbage out to the curb and glances enviously at his neighbor’s car for a few seconds. Then he puts the garbage in the can… and the can starts to vibrate. A black cloud passes overhead and a single streamer shoots down and enters his mouth. Walter collapses to the ground and then gets back up… his eyes solid black. Overhead, the black cloud moves on.

Dean looks at Sam's corpse, laid out on a mattress. Bobby arrives with chicken but Dean says that he isn't hungry, and Bobby suggests that it's time to bury Sam. Dean refuses, and asks Bobby to cut him some slack. His friend says that he needs his help because something big is going down, but Dean says that he's given enough and yells at Bobby to get out. He quickly apologizes but asks Bobby to go. Bobby says that Dean will know where he'll be and leaves.
S02E21	2007-05-10		All Hell Breaks Loose (1)
Sam and Dean drive up to a 24-hour diner and Dean sends a reluctant Sam in to get food. The Impala's radio flickers and then goes out, and Dean realizes that Sam has disappeared inside the diner. He runs in and finds a dead customer in a booth. Drawing his gun, Dean finds two dead cooks, their throats cut, but no sign of Sam. When he discovers sulphur on the door, he realizes that a demon is involved.
S02E20	2007-05-03		What Is and What Should Never Be
Dean is driving in the Impala when he gets a call from Sam, who is at their motel. Sam says that a police car has pulled off outside and figures the cops are after them. The police drive away and Sam checks to see if his brother has found anything about a recent batch of missing victims. His older brother says that he hasn't turned up anything, and Sam figures that they're after a Djinn, who is sucking out the victims' life force and is hiding in ruins. Dean goes to check out a likely site and hangs up before Sam can object.
S02E19	2007-04-26		Folsom Prison Blues
At the Green River County Detention Facility, workers check on the reopening of an old cell block. They cut open one of the doors and enter the cell beyond, and the temperature suddenly drops. Outside in the hallway, papers fly as something sweeps through the block In a prison cell, a prisoner, Randall, is reading when the lights flicker. He goes to the door and sees something go past. He yells at the camera for the guard, who finally notices something on the monitors and comes down to investigate. Randall insists that there's something out there, but the guard tells him to turn off his light and go to sleep. As the guard walks away, he calls for lights out and heads down the corridor. Something moves behind him and he turns for a moment, but there's nothing there. The temperature drops and a gate closes on his arm, and he turns as something approaches him. Randall goes to his cell door and listens as the guard screams in agony.
S02E18	2007-04-19		Hollywood Babylon
A young woman, Wendy, explores a cabin in the woods and calls out to her friends Ashley and Mitch. She gets no answer, until Brody comes up behind her and says that Ashley and Mitch are dead .Wendy refuses to abandon her sister, and Mitch takes off. She hears something in the woods, spins, screams... And the director, McG, calls cut on the filming of the horror movie, Hell Hazers 2: The Reckoning. He tells Tara Benchley, the actress playing Wendy to dial up the scream a bit. As Tara sits down to take a break, she overhears one of the stagehands, Frank Jaffy, talking about how Stage 9 is haunted and when the day is over, he gets out fast. Tara goes off on to the set on her own to rehearse her dialogue, and hears something moving around. She figures that the crew is playing a joke on her and starts looking around. A hat drops down from the rafters and she looks up to see Frank, dead. She notices a ghostly figure just behind Frank and screams.
S02E17	2007-03-22		Heart
In San Francisco, Madison is drinking at a bar with her friends when her boss, Nate Mulligan, comes over and says she needs to come back to the office to do some work. She quickly realizes that he's trying to pick her up. He then tries to get her to drive him home, and she tells him that she's already called him a cab. As he stumbles off, Madison assures her friends that it happens a lot. As she turns to watch Nate go, she spots a man watching her from a nearby table. When she turns back a moment later, he's gone. Madison leaves for the night and jumps when she hears a dog digging through some garbage cans. She gets into her car and drives away, and the man from the bar watches her go.
S02E16	2007-03-15		Roadkill
David McNamara and his wife Molly are on a country highway and thoroughly lost. She complains that they're stuck in their car on their anniversary and he flirt with her, and they spot a man on the road ahead of them. Molly jerks the car off the road, they go down the hill, and crash to a stop. When Molly wakes up, David's car door is open but there's no sign of him. She walks through the woods trying to find him and spots a hunting cabin with a lit candle in the window. She knocks on the door and gets no answer, goes inside, and finds a blood-covered table and knives. The man from the road is standing nearby, and Molly apologizes for the accident. He turns around, his eyes black and his mouth oozing blood.
S02E15	2007-02-15		Tall Tales
Professor Cox approaches Crawford Hall and finds an attractive girl waiting out front. She says that she's in one of his classes and asks to meet with him. Cox agrees and they go to his office, and she admires his book on modern morality. The girl finally admits that she's not one of his students and starts to go, but Cox tells her that what she's feeling is natural. Cox talks about respecting her too much to take advantage of her and then kisses her. The girl kisses him back and Cox realizes that her face is rotting away. She asks if he likes her anymore and advances on him.
S02E14	2007-02-08		Born Under a Bad Sign
Dean is on the road and calls Ellen to see if she's had gotten any word from Sam, as he has no idea where his brother is. As he talks, Sam calls and asks Dean to meet him. Dean drives to Twin Lakes and arrives at a motel room. The door is unlocked and Sam is inside, his hands and shirt covered in someone else's blood. Sam admits that he doesn't remember anything.
S02E13	2007-02-01		Houses of the Holy
In Providence, Rhode Island, a prostitute named Gloria Sytnik sits in an apartment room filled with angel souvenirs. She switches the television to a televangelist but quickly turns it off. The lights flicker and the TV comes back on, and the televangelist insists that the Lord is talking to his audience. The prostitute is unable to turn off the television, and the room begins to vibrate. A glowing white light streams through the door and a figure appears within the glow.

At the Pierpont Inn in Cornwall, Connecticut, a driver arrives to pick up the boxes belonging to the owner, Susan Thompson. Susan's daughter, Tyler, is sitting with her sister Maggie and complaining that they're packing away her toys. Maggie swears and Tyler echoes it, and Susan jokingly tells them both to watch their mouths. Tyler then goes to her room and looks at her extensive collection of dolls. There is a dollhouse built to resemble the inn, and she takes several dolls and places them in the house. However, she notices that one of them, a deliveryman, is sprawled at the base of the stairs. Tyler hears a scream and goes to investigate, and sees the driver sprawled at the bottom of the stairs, his neck broken and a shattered doll lying next to him.
S02E10	2007-01-11		Hunted
Dr. George Waxler is interviewing Scott Carey, who explains that as of a year ago, he discovered he had an ability to touch something and electrocute it. When Waxler implies he doesn't believe Scott's claim, Scott offers to shake on it. Waxler declines, and Scott explains that the "Yellow-Eyed Man" comes to him in his dreams and tells him to do awful things. Scott has refused so far, but warns that the Yellow-Eyed Man has plans for him.
S02E09	2006-12-07		Croatoan
Dean moves down the hallway of a building in the town of River Grove, near Crater Lake. He enters a room where a young man insists that "it" isn't in him. Others agree with him, but Dean insists that the man isn't himself any more. A doctor admits that she can't tell for sure, and Dean aims his gun and pulls the trigger... And Sam wakes up from his dream, lying on the floor, as Dean comes in. The brothers hit the road and head for River Grove, Oregon, near Crater Lake. Sam explains what he saw but doesn't know if the man in his vision was possessed. Dean figures that he had a good reason, but Sam isn't so sure. They arrive in River Grove and Sam sees one of the men in his vision. They go over to talk to the man, Mark, and identify themselves as U.S. Marshals. Sam gives Mark a description of Dean's victim in his dream, and Dean notes that John was also in the Marines. Mark identifies the man as Duane Tanner, who lives with his family. As they leave, Sam notice the word "Croatoan" written on a telephone pole, and reminds Dean of how a similar word was found written in the colony of Roanoke, and all of the settlers disappeared overnight. Dean figures whatever is going on is tied to the Yellow-Eyed Demon, and Dean tries to call out to Bobby and Ellen. There's no signal, and the land lines are dead.
S02E08	2006-11-16		Crossroad Blues
In Greenwood Mississippi in August, 1938, bluesman Robert Johnson is playing at a roadhouse. In the middle of his song, he hears a dog growling in the distance. The audience members also notice, and Robert tries to go on, but the shadow of a dog passes by the windows. The barking grows louder and Johnson runs outside and into the woods. The growling sounds follow him, and something moves in the brushes. Johnson drops his guitar and runs into a cabin, barring the door behind him. Something slams into it and he bars the door, and then collapses to his knees. Seconds later, Johnson’s lady and two of the audience members who have followed Johnson break down the door, and find the bluesman having convulsions. As they go to get the doctor, the woman asks Johnson what happened. He mutters, "dogs" and then dies.
S02E07	2006-11-09		The Usual Suspects
In Baltimore, Maryland, Detective Peter Sheridan is at the station house taking a call and receiving a fax from St. Louis. He and his partner, Detective Diana Ballard, lead a team to a motel and arrest the occupant: Sam Winchester. Later, Sheridan talks to one of his captives and notes that he tortured a young woman, but supposedly died. He notes that Karen Giles is the last victim that the captive will kill. Dean just watches him.
S02E06	2006-11-02		No Exit
In Philadelphia, apartment resident Katie calls her landlord to demand that he check the faulty electrical wiring in her new apartment. As she hangs up, Katie notices a drop of a black tarry substance on the table. As she examines it, more of the substance drips down from the ceiling. It starts pouring out of an open electrical switch. As Katie looks at the open box, she sees a man peering at her from the other side and retreats, screaming.
S02E05	2006-10-26		Simon Said
In Blue Ridge, Oklahoma, Dr. Jennings is walking down the city street when he gets a phone call. He answers it and then sees himself taking a shotgun and cocking it. He smiles and walks down the street to a gun shop. The owner, Dennis, greets him by name, and is surprised when Jennings says he wants to look at a gun. Dennis obliges and gives Jennings the specific shotgun he asks for, and provides him with some shells to check. Jennings loads it up, against store policy, and then casually shoots and kills Dennis. The doctor tells everyone to relax, and then places the gun beneath his chin and pulls the trigger.
S02E04	2006-10-19		Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things
Neil meets his girl pal Angela Mason and offers her chocolate, beer, and emo music to console her after her breakup. There's a knock on the door and they figure it's Angela's ex, Matt Harrison. Neil answers the door and tells Matt to chill out, but Matt shoves his way in. When he goes to the kitchen, there's no sign of Angela. Angela is driving through the night, crying, when she gets a call from Matt. He tries to apologize but she refuses to accept it. As she screams at Matt, and then says that she loves him, she hits an embankment and is killed instantly.
S02E03	2006-10-12		Bloodlust
In Red Lodge, Montana, a woman runs through the woods as something chases her. She trips on a log and goes down, while a figure in a long coat and hat closes in. The woman finally takes refuge behind a tree and tries to remain silent. When she emerges, the man is waiting for her and decapitates her with a sickle. Dean finishes repairing the Impala, better than ever, and he and Sam hit the road for Red Lodge, where cattle mutilations and two corpses with severed heads have been reported. Posing as reporters, they talk to the sheriff, who thinks they're joking when they suggest the cattle mutilations are connected to the decapitations. He explains that a rotting cow bloats and looks like it's been cut open, and tells them to get out. The brothers next go to morgue, posing as doctors, and con the mortician into leaving. Once he's gone, they check the woman's head for Satanic marking. They don't find any, but Dean does find hidden fangs. The brothers realize the woman was a vampire.
S02E02	2006-10-05		Everybody Loves a Clown
In Medford, Wisconsin, the Cooper Carnival sets up shop. A young girl, Nora, laughs at the clowns, while her father admits that he's always hated clowns. His wife tells him to hush and let Nora enjoy herself. As they tour the carnival, Nora notices a clown standing off to one side. She waves to him and he waves. but disappears when Nora points him out to her parents. They figure she made it up. As the family drives home, Nora sees the clown standing on the side of the road as they pass. She tries to point him out to her parents, but they've gone too far past. In bed that night, Nora is lying awake when she sees a shadow on the lawn. She looks down and sees the clown standing below. She goes downstairs and waves to him through the patio door, and then lets him in and takes his hand.
S02E01	2006-09-28		In My Time of Dying
In the aftermath of the possessed truck driver smashing his vehicle into the Impala, the demon approaches the Winchesters and wrenches open the driver’s side door. A barely-conscious Sam points the Colt at him and threatens to kill him, but the demon says that he knows Sam is saving the bullet for someone else. The demon hesitates, and then leaves its host body. The driver, restored to normal, looks at what he’s done in horror.

S01E22	2006-05-04		Devil's Trap
Meg picks up John’s cell phone and tells Dean that they’ll never see their father again. Dean angrily hangs up the phone and Sam asks him what Meg said. Dean grabs the Colt and heads out of the motel room, telling Sam that the demon is probably coming after them. Sam tells him that they still have three bullets left, but Dean tells Sam that they don’t know what else is out there.
S01E21	2006-04-27		Salvation
In Blue Earth, Minnesota, Pastor Jim Murphy is in his church when a wind springs up out of nowhere, and Meg Masters enters the church, She says she needs to talk to someone and says she's done bad things, and asks if there is forgiveness for everyone. Pastor Jim assures her that there is, and Meg tells him that she's lied, stolen, lusted, and slit an innocent man's throat. She reveals her demon eyes and Pastor Jim he says that she can't be on hallowed ground. When she says it only works on minor demons, Pastor Jim runs into the back and goes to a room filled with dozens of weapons. Meg kicks her way in and Pastor Jim throws a rune-inscribed knife at her. She catches it and says that she wants the Winchesters, and Pastor Jim says he hasn't spoken to John in over a year, and he wouldn't tell her if he did know where they were. Meg agrees, cuts his throat, and walks away.

In Manning, Colorado, Daniel Elkins is going over his notes. The bartender comments to one of her patrons that Elkins is a nice old man who lives up the road and just goes over his papers. A group comes in the bar and Elkins studies them carefully. Their leader, Kate, orders a bottle of whiskey. When the bartender turns to Elkins, she discovers that he's slipped away.
S01E19	2006-04-13		Provenance
The Telescas have bought a portrait of a turn-of-the-century family at a charity ball and hang it up in their living room. Mrs. Telesca admits that she finds it finds it kind of creepy. As she goes upstairs, Mr. Telesca goes to lock up. In the portrait, the picture of the family patriarch starts to move. As Mr. Telesca passes the portrait, he fails to notice that a straight razor is now missing from the portrait. He goes into the bedroom and gets into bed, and discovers blood on his hand. His wife’s throat has been cut. He backs away in horror, as a figure looms over him.
S01E18	2006-04-06		Something Wicked
In Fitchburg, Wisconsin, a little girl, Bethany Tarnower, is saying her prayers before bed as her father Miles looks on. He kisses her goodnight, and she asks if her mother is coming home. Miles tells her that she's spending the night at the hospital with Bethany's sister. Later, Bethany is woken up by the branches rattling on the window. She finally gets up and closes the drapes, and then runs back to her bed. A clawed hand opens the window and a robed figure enters the room, its mouth glowing as it looms over Bethany.
S01E17	2006-03-30		Hell House
Two months ago, four teenagers go out into the woods and approach a house in Richardson, Texas. It's rumored to be haunted, and Craig Thursten, the boy who found it, insists that they going. Inside they find a pentagram drawn on the floor and symbols on the walls. As they explore the house, Craig talks about how the legends say that the ghost of the house preys on young girls and hangs them up in the root cellar. They go into the cellar and find a girl suspended by her neck from the ceiling.
S01E16	2006-02-28		Shadow
In Chicago, a young woman, Meredith Allen, walks down the street, unaware that someone is following her. The music on her iPod suddenly goes dead and a wind springs up. She walks quickly away but notices the shadows of her pursuer on the walls behind her. Running, Meredith bursts out onto the street, gets to her apartment, and fumbles with her keys. She finally unlocks the door and gets inside, and then activates the security system. Meredith gets a beer and checks her answering machine, unaware that a shadow has appeared on the wall behind her. It rams its claws through her back, killing her.
S01E15	2006-02-14		The Benders
In Hibbing, Minnesota, a young boy, Evan McKay, looks out the window of his apartment and watches a neighbor, Alvin Jenkins, take his garbage out to the dumpster. The man hears something moving beneath a nearby car, looks under it to investigate, and something pulls him under the car. Later that week, Dean and Sam arrive, posing as state policeman, and ask what Evan saw. He says that he heard a noise like a monster would make, and his mother makes him admit that he was watching a monster movie at the time. Evan describes the monster's noise as a whining growl.
S01E14	2006-02-07		Nightmare
In a quiet suburban neighborhood in Michigan, a man pulls into his garage and the door closes by itself. The doors lock and the engine starts up, pumping out monoxide fumes. The man is unable to shut off the engine and quickly starts to choke, and soon collapses, dead... And Sam wakes up from his dream. He wakes up Dean and says that they have to go right now. As they drive, Sam poses as a detective on the phone and has the local police check out the license plate he saw in his dream. Dean figures that it's just a nightmare, but the police confirm that the car belongs to a Jim Miller in Saginaw. They arrive at the house where the police are already checking out what appears to be a suicide. They talk to a neighbor, who insists that Jim wasn't the suicidal type. Sam wonders what the point is having dreams of people dying when he can't stop them, and insists that something trapped Jim in his car and killed him. Dean admits that he's worried about Sam, and figures they can check it out in the morning and talk to Jim's wife and son. When Sam notes that they won't want to talk to them, Dean has an idea.

In Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Martin Robinson is driving through the night when a truck pulls up behind him at high speed. It slams into the rear of Martin's car and slams into it repeatedly, and then disappears... only to appear ahead of Martin. He brakes to a stop and turns, and the truck chases after him. It finally sends his car off the road, backs away... and disappears.
S01E11	2006-01-10		Scarecrow
Burkitsville, Indiana One Year Ago Vince and Holly Parker, a newlywed couple lost on the highway, stop in at the local store. Emily and Stacey Jorgenson, two of the owners, convince them to take some apple pie with them. Holly takes the pie as the father, Harley, finishes filling their car up with gas. Vince shakes Harley's hand, and the daughter, Emily, comments on Vince's arm tattoo. Stacey and Harley give them directions to the interstate and the couple goes on their ways.
S01E12	2006-01-17		Faith
Sam and Dean are hunting a Rawhead in an abandoned building and find the two children that it has abducted. As they get the children out of the basement, the creature grabs Sam as he goes up the stairs. Dean fires a taser at it and tells Sam to get the children out, while he goes in after the monster. It knocks him down into a puddle of water on the floor and comes after him, and Dean fires the taser again. It shocks the creature, which is standing in the puddle, but electrocutes Dean as well. Sam returns and finds his brother, dying.
S01E10	2005-11-22		Asylum
At the Roosevelt Asylum in Rockford, Illinois, two police officers notice that kids have broken in again. The older officer, Daniel Gunderson, explains to the new officer, Lt. Walter Kelly, that the abandoned asylum has a bad reputation, and it's rumored that anyone who sleeps there for the night is driven insane. They discover that whoever broken in used heavy-duty bolt cutters to cut the padlock. The officers split up to search and Gunderson's flashlight goes out, while someone watches him from a nearby door. Meanwhile, Gunderson finds the kids and sends them on their way. Kelly meets him outside and says that he didn't find anything. As they get in the car to go, Kelly's nose bleeds briefly.
S01E09	2005-11-15		Home
In Lawrence, Kansas, Jenny is looking at a photo of herself and her husband, when her daughter Sairie comes in and complains that there's a monster in her closet. Jenny checks and assures her that there's nothing there. She then puts Sairie to bed and assures her that the three of them, including Sairie's brother Ritchie, will all be happy there despite Sairie's misgivings. As Jenny goes, her daughter asks her to prop the chair in front of the closet doorknobs.
S01E08	2005-11-08		Bugs
In the town of Oasis Plains, Oklahoma, workers are laboring at a new housing tract. One of the gas company employees admires the expensive houses, and then slaps at a mosquito on his neck. The other one, Dustin, notices that the ground is rumbling. The dirt suddenly falls in and he drops, breaking his ankle. As his co-worker Travis goes to get a rope, Dustin notices thousands of bugs in the hole with him. Travis returns and discovers that Dustin is dead, bleeding from his eyes and nose.
S01E07	2005-10-25		Hook Man
At the Theta Sorority at an eastern Iowa university in Ankeny, Lori Sorenson asks her roommate, Taylor, for tips on dressing for her date. She borrows an outfit and leaves to meet with her boyfriend, Rich, go driving. He pulls off the road and says they can't arrive early, but she suspects he has an ulterior motive. They start to kiss but Lori's father calls. She ignores it and he starts to undress her, but he stops him. They're unaware that a shadowy figure lurks nearby, holding a hook. Rich tries again and she insists that he stops. They hear a screeching noise as the intruder drags his hook across the nearby signs and then fades away. Rich gets out to investigate and sees scratches appear on the car with no visible source. One of the tires is punctured and the rear windshield shatters. Startled, Lori is unable to find Rich outside. She locks the doors and closes the windows. Something lands on the roof of Rich's car and Lori gets out, and spots Rich, dead, hanging upside down from the bridge above his car.

In St. Louis, a man tortures a woman inside of a house. The police move inside, guns drawn, and look for the man. They find the woman and free her, and she gestures toward the neighboring room. The police go inside and spot the man trying to get out the window. They order him to drop the knife and he turns: it's Dean, covered in blood.
S01E05	2005-10-11		Bloody Mary
Toledo, Ohio Three 10-year-old girls are playing “Truth or Dare” at the home of one of them, Lily Shoemaker. One girl dares Lily to enter the bathroom and utter “Bloody Mary” three times before the mirror. Legend says this will summon Bloody Mary, variously a ghost, witch, or wronged woman, who will scratch out the eyes of whoever summoned her. Lily takes the dare and says “Bloody Mary” twice. A wind starts to pick up out of nowhere. At the end of the third recitation, her friends hammer on the door, scaring her. However, Lily emerges unharmed. The noise rouses the girl’s father, Steven Shoemaker, who asks them to keep the noise down. He returns to his room, passing several reflective surfaces. Each one reflects a darkly shrouded girl, her face obscured by her hair. Steve goes to the bathroom and takes some medicine, and then stares in surprise at his reflection as veins spread across the right side of his face.
S01E04	2005-10-04		Phantom Traveler
At an airport, a nervous passenger, George Phelps, goes to the restroom while he waits for his flight. Another man comes in and notices him trying to calm down, and tries to assure him about the odds of dying in a plane crash. George isn't reassured. As he washes his face, a black smoke-like substance flows in through the air conditioning grille and flows into the man's eyes.

Lake Manitoc, Wisconsin Sophie Carlton goes for a morning swim in the nearby lake. She swims for some time, going a considerable distance from shore. Suddenly she is dragged under water and never surfaces...

Blackwater Ridge, Lost Creek, Colorado Inside of a tent, two college-age boys, Brad and Gary, are playing handheld video games while a creature lurks outside. In the other tent, the third camper, Tommy Collins, uses his handheld camcorder to record a message to his sister Haley back home. Brad goes out relieve himself next to a tree. He starts hearing rustling noises and notices branches moving. The boys back at camp hear Brad screaming and start calling out to their friend. The creature rips through the tent and grabs Gary, and then goes after Tommy.
S01E01	2005-09-13		Pilot
Lawrence, Kansas: 22 Years Ago A dog barks in the down the street from a two-story house. Inside the house, Mary Winchester carries her older son, Dean, into the into the nursery to check on Dean’s younger brother, Sam. Dean kisses the six-month-old Sam goodnight. Dean runs over to the doorway when his father John, comes in. appears; his father scoops him up in his arms and asks if he thinks Sam is ready to toss the football around yet. Mary and John leave, turning off the lights behind them. Sam wiggles around in his crib, staring at the mobile above him. As he stares at the mobile, it starts to turn on its own and the lights flicker.
