Crowley joins Jody Mills, who is at a bar to have a blind date. She thinks that his name is Roderick and they chat back and forth. Later, Crowley finally says that they both share loss. Jody remembers losing her son and husband, and Crowley takes her hand and says that he's lost someone as well. Jody breaks into tears and goes to the restroom to clean up. She takes some lipstick out of her purse, while at the bar, Crowley sets up a hex. In the restroom, Jody starts choking and coughs up blood. Meanwhile, Crowley gets a call and tells Dean that Jody will die in a minute. Dean tells him that it's over and offers to turn over the demon tablet if he gives them the angel tablet. Crowley agrees once they say that they surrender. |

As he kisses Shelly, Tommy hears a growling noise. He tells her that it's a Wendigo and tells Shelly to go to the bedroom while he lights up an acetylene torch. When Aidan tries to start the car, nothing happens. He gets out of the car and runs off, and a vampire shatters the window and yanks Krissy out of the car. Aidan comes up behind the vampire and decapitates him with a knife, and another girl, Josephine Barnes, runs up with a crossbow. Krissy tells them that the next time one of them can be the bait, and Aidan confirms that it's "him," and they have one down and two to go. |

He goes to get himself some food and Sam notices the photo of Mary and smiles. Later, Sam is going over the Letters' books when Dean brings in some food that he made and explains that he's nesting. Kevin calls on Dean's phone and tells him to come quick and then cuts out. |

In Witsyebsk, Belarus, a Nazi soldier arrives back at base. The guard steps away to light a cigarette... and something huge attacks him, throwing him through the window. The first soldier sounds the alarm. Inside, a group of Nazis finish their work transcribing work into a tome while the attacker continues his assault, ignoring gunfire. As the remaining soldiers prepare to fire, their commander, Eckhart, casts a spell of cloaking. The attacker bursts through the door and kills the soldiers while Eckhart finishes his spell and yells at the creature to tell its masters that it isn't finished. He then disappears in a burst of flame. |

Sam returns with food and Dean tells him get wind of a case on the police scanner. He's eager to get going but Sam points out that it's the first thing he's said to him since he met Benny. Dean agrees to talk and Sam points out that Benny is a vampire. Dean defends his friend, saying that he's the reason he's out of Purgatory. Sam wonders why Benny is still alive and Dean says that Benny is his friend. They argue over the fact that Dean killed Sam's friend Amy and Dean says that people change. He assures Sam that if Benny slips up and some other hunter kills him, that's it, but he doesn't plan to do it. Dean gets in the car and they head out. |

In Eagle Harbor, Washington, a man, Quentin, walks down an alleyway. Benny approaches him and Quentin is surprised to realize that he's alive. Benny demands to know where the old man is and when Quentin refuses, Benny takes out a large knife. Two of Quentin's fellow vampires come out and Quentin says that the Old Man is going to want to see Benny for himself. Benny tells him if they kill him then he knows who he'll see when he goes where he's going. He then decapitates Quentin and turns to the other two vampires. |

Sam and Dean are at a farmer's market and Dean is catching up on news. He finds an article about the stolen heart and another one six months earlier in the same city. Sam says that they have to deal with finding Kevin and the tablet, and then points out that he's buying fruit at the farm market. Dean reminds him that he quit for a year and asks if they should ignore cases so Sam can shop for produce. |

Dean draws his gun and asks where he is and then asks where the road is. The couple gives him directions and Dean takes their duffel bag and leaves. |

In return he wants Crowley to give the Winchesters the blood of a lesser demon and then get out of the way. Crowley considers the offer and finally agrees, producing a massive contract ready for inspection. |

He then goes to see their prisoner, Kevin, and asks him to translate the Word. When Kevin refuses, Dick offers him a letter of recommendation to Princeton. When that doesn’t work, the Leviathan threatens to have Kevin’s mother killed unless he cooperates. |

He tells them that the Leviathans have already broken ground at the Wisconsin site and are making a state-of-the-art slaughterhouse. Dick has bought out most restaurants and is using the contaminated food to dumb down the human population, and then ensure their health and buy their loyalty by curing cancer and other disease. Once the Leviathans have created their perfect herd, they’ll start feeding on them and wipe out the species. |

The brother of one of the campers, Trevor McAnn, stumbles drunk out of the woods, startling him. His brother Ray complains and Trevor dares him to call their father Jim and report him. As they talk, Trevor suddenly sees something coming out of the woods, although the others can’t see anything. Trevor stumbles into the woods and they hear him scream. When Ray goes to find his brother, he discovers him lying on the ground, his stomach ripped open. |

A sleep-deprived Sam is running through the night, Lucifer’s voice echoing in his head. He finally finds a drug dealer who offers him something to doze off. Sam goes back to his car and tries to doze off, but Lucifer continues to keep him up despite the drug’s influence. After being woken up, Sam staggers into the street and is hit by a car.
When Dean hears about the incident, he goes to the hospital where Sam has been admitted and demands to see his brother. The physician in charge, Dr. Kadinsky, explains that Sam has had a psychotic breakdown and has been locked up for his own good. Kadinsky takes Dean to see Sam and explains that he is resisting the sedatives. Dean tries to talk to Sam, who is still seeing Lucifer, and promises that he’ll find him help. Sam tells him not to put him through the agony since they’ve discovered before that there aren’t any authentic healers and there’s no point in Dean looking. |

When Nora tells the demon to go to hell, it promises that it will track her down and kill her when it returns. Frightened, Nora leaves the cabin. |

Sam is driving to the town where the murders take place, and Dean wakes up. He takes a drink from Bobby’s old flask and says that he’s dealing with their friend’s death by honoring his memory. Dean figures that it’s better than how Sam is coping, by going off on a hunt. The brothers have confirmed that four men have died in the same town, and in each case their attacker used superhuman strength and cut off their hands and feet. Posing as FBI agents, the Winchesters talk to the coroner, Eddie, who informs them that one of the victims managed to bite his killer. However, the DNA tests indicated that the flesh sample wasn’t human. As the brothers leave, Dean suggests that his brother go on ahead while he checks out the area. Sam realizes that Dean wants to go to a bar and drink, and Dean doesn’t even both denying before walking off. |

As the temperature in the room drops, the planchette levitates into the air and then drives itself into Goldy’s throat, killing her. |

The brothers investigate the crime scene and find EM readings, and Sam locates red dirt. He also finds an AA chip and a monthly $50 charge to a place called Jane’s. Sam suggests that Dean check out the AA center but Dean refuses and goes to check out Jane’s instead. |

He asks Castiel if he'll call if he gets into real trouble, and Castiel teleports away without saying anything. |

48 hours earlier and 150 years later, Sam, Dean, and Bobby search the Campbell compound and find a secret vault of books. They begin going through the books, looking for a way to kill Eve. Bobby finds a reference to the ashes of a "phoenix" burning the Mother. They keep looking and Dean finally finds an entry by Samuel Colt saying he used the gun to kill a phoenix in Sunrise, Wyoming, leaving a pile of ash. There's no description of the phoenix or any other clues, so Dean suggests they travel back in time to 1861 and recover the ashes. Dean preys to Castiel, and a female angel appears. She introduces herself as Rachel and tells them that Castiel is busy. She has no interest in their problems and accuses them of only calling Castiel when they need someone. Rachel starts ranting at them, but Castiel appears and tells her to leave. He explains that Rachel is his lieutenant and asks what they need. |

As he picks up a broom, he knocks over a skateboard, which rolls behind him. He steps back, trips on it, and almost impales his eyes on a pair of clippers. As He pulls himself away, he knocks over a bucket of golf balls, trips, and falls beneath the garage door. A stray golf ball hits a mousetrap and hits the board. The garage door comes down, all but decapitating the man. |

Rick, a truck driver for a cannery, is refueling when a young girl, eve, approaches him. She asks for a ride and Rick agrees. Its eyes turn to follow him, but when Steve turns around, it has disappeared. As he mops, Sam looks down and sees blood dripping on the floor: he has a head wound. The temperature drops and the lights go out, and a tray of scalpels clatter to the floor. Steve runs for the door and the mannequin dummy appears in front of him. It cuts his throat with one of the scalpels and returns to its place on the hook. |

His girlfriend arrives and discovers that the cornfield has been carved out in a giant series of circles. |

In Buffalo, New York, a businessman leaves a bar and goes out to his car, while calling home to check on his car. He gets in, unaware that something him from the bushes. When Ron prepares to start the car, something leaps out, crashes throuigh the windshield, and rips open his chest.
Sam and Dean are eating at a ribshack, and Dean calls Bobby to try to find a way to get Sam's soul back from Crowley. Crowley appears and tells them that he has a job for them. When Dean refuses, Crowley demonstrates that he can infect Sam with Hell by simple touch. He informs Dean that he owns Sam, and that what they have is a hostage situation. He tells Dean that if they bag him a live alpha, he'll give them Sam's soul back. Crowley shows them a newspaper article about the dead businessman, and they figure it's a werewolf. Sam warns Dean that werewovles have been appearing during other phases of the moon. Crowley wishes them well and disappears. |

Sam wakes up and discovers that Dean has tied him up and summonsed Castiel. He realizes that Castiel is diagnosing him, and Dean tells him to answer every question. Castiel then tells Sam to bite down on a belt and try to relax, and sticks his hand into Sam's chest. When he's done, he tells the brothers that he was unable to find Sam's soul. Castiel says that it must still be in the cage with Lucifer, and there's no way they can get to it. |

Jane Peterson is a waitress working at Big Gerson's, a bar & grill. She calls her sister Olivia on the phone and wonders what to do about the boy she dated, and if he's interested in her. Jane takes the food out and the manager talks about how Jane is less attractive than the other waitress. As she delivers food to an elderly woman, the woman tells Jane that she once ran over a homeless man. A girl talks about burning her sister, and a bus boy says that Jane gives him the creeps. She finally takes a gun from the drawer, goes outside, and calls Olivia for help. Olivia tells her that she's a freak and should kill herself. Jane takes out the gun and shoots herself in the head. |

In Limestone, a teenage girl, Kristen, goes to the Black Rose bar and finally find the boy she's there to meet: Robert. They sit and discuss her poetry, and Robert admits he's impressed by them. He insists that he knows her, and asks to see some of her work. As she gets it out, she gives herself a paper cut and Robert turns away, insisting he has to go. He runs off before Kristen can stop him. However, later, he returns and admits he couldn't stay away. Robert then says that he has to show her something. He pulls up his lip and reveals that he has fangs. Kristen, impresses, says that she knows it and starts to bare her throat. She wonders if it will hurt as she bares her neck, but he offers to show her his world instead. He takes her to an abandoned building and a muscular vampire leaps out. He compliments Robert, and the two vampires attack her. |

A year ago, Bobby performs a ritual to summon Crowley into his home. The demon arrives and notes that they saved the world, and Bobby offers him a drink. Near Blue Earth, Minnesota, demons are chasing Sam and Dean down the road. The demons set up a barricade and force them to stop, and then smash through the windows. However, the nearby townspeople suddenly show up, spray the demons with holy water from a fire hose, and use Enochian exorcism rituals to banish the demon essence from the host bodies. The leader, Rob, casually tells the brothers that their attackers were demons and that his group, the Sacrament Lutheran Militia, will handle them. Fuller insists that Annie’s death was a suicide and that Susan has created the monster to protect herself from her own guilt. |

Two days earlier, Dean is watching Dr. Sexy, M.D. on television while waiting for Sam to get ready to pose as a FBI agent. Once Sam is ready, they talk to the sheriff abut a man who was decapitated. The sheriff insists that it was a bear attack, although Dean notes that apparently the bear chased the man into his house and up to his bedroom before tearing off his head. The sheriff insists that it was a bear but lets them talk to the dead man's wife, Cathy. She admits she must have imagined what she saw, but finally admits that she saw Lou Ferrigno from The Incredible Hulk tear off her husband's head. |

Sam and dean impersonate CDC agents and talk to the coroner who has Xavier’s body. She points out that he died of old age despite the fact he was 25 years old, and she can’t account for his condition. The brothers call Bobby, who sent them to investigate when he heard about Xavier’s death. Bobby tells them to check things out. When Dean asks about his paralyzed legs, Bobby calls him an idjit and hangs up. |

April runs off in tears. The next day, Taylor is in the bathroom when April comes up behind her. She tells Taylor she isn’t fat and then slams the girl’s head into the mirror. She then drags the girl over to the toilet and drowns her, as black ooze drips from her eye. |

In Iowa, Sioux City is holding its annual Magic Week. The Incredible Jay, an older magician, is trying to impress a waitress in a bar by doing card tricks. Another magician, Patrick Vance, is heckling him and ruining the trick despite his assistant's admonishments to stop. A depressed Jay leaves and goes to the theater where he and his friends Vernon and Charlie watch a hip new magician, Jeb Dexter. None of them are impressed but Jay admits that Jeb is the type of magician that's promised and their breed is dying out. He decides to do the Table of Death illusion. Vernon and Charlie warn against it, but Jay insists that he'll do it or die trying. That night, he performs the illusion with Charlie's help. He's fastened beneath a spiked ceiling that's held up by a rope. Charlie ignites the rope and draws a curtain. The seconds count down and the spikes drop... and Jay emerge from behind the curtain, unscathed, to thunderous applause. |

In Stratton, Nebraska, Bill Gibson is watching TV at his farmhouse when the lights go out. As he leaves the room, he discovers the door won't open. A closet door opens and a white-skinned girl comes in. Gibson is surprised to see her and says it's impossible she's there. She attacks him and blood splatters across the room.
The Impala is pulled over on the road and Dean is going over reports when Sam wakes up. Dean has found three cases they can take on but Sam thinks Dean is trying to keep busy to forget about the time he spent in Hell torturing other souls. Dean ignores him and they head out to investigate Gibson's murder, which took place in a locked room. They figure it's a ghost and drive to Stratton. When they arrive there they find the house is up for sale, but fail to note the "sold" sign that has fallen into the grass. |

Uriel and Castiel confront the Winchesters and Ruby, and Uriel tells them to step aside: they're here to kill Anna. Dean accuses them of being heartless and Castiel agrees, but warns that Anna is far worse than a mere demon. When the brothers refuse, Uriel attacks ruby and smashes her aside. Dean attacks him and isn't able to inflict any harm, while Castiel renders Sam unconscious with a touch. Castiel reaches for the door leading to Anna's room but suddenly there's a burst of white light and he and Uriel are sucked away. Once everyone recovers, they check on Anna and find that she's used her own blood to draw a mystic symbol on a mirror, which cast the spell. She says she doesn’t know how she remembered the symbol or where it comes from. |

A young woman, Anna Milton, is confined at a mental hospital as her psychiatrist tries to get her to explain what she did. Anna says that she tried to warn everyone of what she now knows to be true: that the Apocalypse is coming. Anna tells her psychiatrist how a demon, Lilith, is going to free Lucifer by unlocking 66 of the 600 Seals, and that even the angels can't stop him. Once Lucifer is freed, the Apocalypse will arrive and they'll die. |

He winces in pain and discovers there's a razor blade in his mouth. He takes it out but then collapses to the ground, spitting out another razor blade and choking blood. Mrs. Wallace returns a few seconds later to find him dead on the floor. |

A woman, Candace Armstrong, is taking a shower at a women's health facility in Concrete, Washington. She's unaware that a mysterious teenage boy is stalking her, fading in and out of visibility. She finally tosses a towel toward a rack and hits him instead. Thinking he's a ghost, she screams and he tries to apologize.
The guys are eating at a restaurant and Sam questions Dean about why Uriel thought Dean remembered his time in Hell. Dean again denies remembering anything of his four months in Hell and note that Uriel was a dick. Sam drops the matter and checks sightings, but doesn't find a whole lot except for a report of a ghost in a women's shower that threw a woman down a flight of stairs. Dean immediately insists on going to investigate. They arrive in town and while Dean goes to check out the healthy facility, Sam meets with Candace at a Chinese restaurant. He claims to be a writer doing research on the supernatural and gets her to describe the encounter. She explains that she accidentally fell down the stairs and the ghost tried to help her, and then asked her not to tell his mother. As they talk, a homely looking guy and a beautiful woman flirt at the next table. |

The town is celebrating Oktoberfest and the brothers meet with Sheriff Dietrich, claiming to be FBI agents. He shows them the murder victim at the morgue, and she has bite marks on her neck. They then go to the local tavern to talk to the one witness, Ed Brewer. The brothers run into Jamie, the bartender, who Dean flirts with a bit. They then find Ed, who describes the killer as an exact match for Dracula down to the cape, the medallion, and the Eastern European accent. |

A captured demon taunts Sam and Ruby, the ones who captured it. They demand to know Lilith's whereabouts but it refuses to talk and instead taunts Sam about sleeping with a demon. They're unaware that Dean is watching them from hiding, having gone to the address that Castiel provided. Sam and Ruby tend to the human host and he tells her that the headaches from using his powers are gone. Dean steps out of the shadows and asks what's going on. He quickly realizes who Ruby is in her new host body and attacks her. She fights back but Sam calls them off each other. Ruby gets the human host out of the building and Dean leaves, furious. |

She draws back, clearly recognizing him, and then fires a round of salt. She starts to make a circle of salt but the man's spirit reforms. Olivia begs him for forgiveness and then hears someone behind her: a female ghost, who shoves her hand into Olivia's stomach. |

Despite memories of his stomach being ripped open, there’s no sign of an injury. However, there are claw marks on his right shoulder. Bobby has a lead on Lilith but as they leave, Dean hallucinates that Dean's face is corrupted. |

In Erie, Pennsylvania, two men leave a health club for the night and head for home. One fumbles in his trunk as a figure comes up behind him, and then grabs him and chloroforms him unconscious. Later, he staggers into a hospital, bleeding from an incision in his stomach before collapsing dead.
Sam and Dean are using holy water and a devil's trap to interrogate a captive demon, who refuses to speak because of its fear of the demon who holds the contract on Dean's soul. They exorcise the demon, killing the host body, and then get a call from Bobby about the dead man in the hospital. It turns out he was covered in bloody fingerprints that belong to Doc Benton, a man who supposedly died in 1981. Sam suggests that zombies are involved and convinces Dean they should check it out. they go to Erie and talk to a suspicious doctor who nonetheless confirms that the incision in the victim's stomach was made by a skilled surgeon using a scalpel. He also directs them to another victim, Mr. Beetle, who survived but had his kidney removed. Beetle doesn't have anything to contribute other then that he was attacked from behind and never saw the man who took his kidney, stitched him back up, and left him in a bathtub filled with ice. |

Ben Waters is in his house with a thunderstorm outside, and is drinking heavily. He answers the phone and talks to the woman at the other end, Linda. He hangs up and rips out the cord and throws the phone to the floor. It rings yet again and doesn't stop. Ben takes a gun out of his desk and kills himself. |

The Ghostfacers are Harry, Ed, Ed's adopted sister Maggie, shaman Kenny Spruce, and intern Alan Corbett. They investigate haunted houses and supernatural phenomena while getting everything on tape. Their new target is the Morton House: the place has been plagued by mysterious disappearances which always occur every four years on February 29. They meet in Ed's garage plan their approach, but are interrupted when Ed's father opens the door. |

Dean would rather be looking for Bela, who has the Colt, but with no leads Sam's decided they should check out the reported disappearance of a Professor Hasselback who visited the local Mystery Spot, a gravity-defying tourist attraction. The waitress, Doris, spills a bottle of hot sauce on the floor. Outside, the guys walk by a dog and an attractive blond bumps into Dean. They walk by two men moving a heavy desk and decide to break into the Mystery Spot that night. They don't find anything unusual, but the owner, Mr. Carpiak, comes after them with a shotgun. When Dean tries to calm him down. Carpiak shoots him down dead. |

They figure the killer is a werewolf and go to the hospital where Kyle is still alive but wounded. Kyle says that the killer was human, with a tattoo of a coyote on his arm. The attending doctor, Garrison, reveals that Kyle’s brothers were brutally killed but there’s no sign of what the brothers believe would be a werewolf attack. They also can’t figure out why the werewolf wouldn’t have finished its attack on Kyle. |

In a prison cell, a prisoner, Randall, is reading when the lights flicker. He goes to the door and sees something go past. He yells at the camera for the guard, who finally notices something on the monitors and comes down to investigate. Randall insists that there's something out there, but the guard tells him to turn off his light and go to sleep. As the guard walks away, he calls for lights out and heads down the corridor. Something moves behind him and he turns for a moment, but there's nothing there. The temperature drops and a gate closes on his arm, and he turns as something approaches him. Randall goes to his cell door and listens as the guard screams in agony. |

And the director, McG, calls cut on the filming of the horror movie, Hell Hazers 2: The Reckoning. He tells Tara Benchley, the actress playing Wendy to dial up the scream a bit. As Tara sits down to take a break, she overhears one of the stagehands, Frank Jaffy, talking about how Stage 9 is haunted and when the day is over, he gets out fast. Tara goes off on to the set on her own to rehearse her dialogue, and hears something moving around. She figures that the crew is playing a joke on her and starts looking around. A hat drops down from the rafters and she looks up to see Frank, dead. She notices a ghostly figure just behind Frank and screams. |

As he stumbles off, Madison assures her friends that it happens a lot. As she turns to watch Nate go, she spots a man watching her from a nearby table. When she turns back a moment later, he's gone. Madison leaves for the night and jumps when she hears a dog digging through some garbage cans. She gets into her car and drives away, and the man from the bar watches her go. |

She complains that they're stuck in their car on their anniversary and he flirt with her, and they spot a man on the road ahead of them. She walks through the woods trying to find him and spots a hunting cabin with a lit candle in the window. She knocks on the door and gets no answer, goes inside, and finds a blood-covered table and knives. The man from the road is standing nearby, and Molly apologizes for the accident. He turns around, his eyes black and his mouth oozing blood. |

Cox talks about respecting her too much to take advantage of her and then kisses her. The girl kisses him back and Cox realizes that her face is rotting away. She asks if he likes her anymore and advances on him. |

Susan's daughter, Tyler, is sitting with her sister Maggie and complaining that they're packing away her toys. Maggie swears and Tyler echoes it, and Susan jokingly tells them both to watch their mouths. Tyler then goes to her room and looks at her extensive collection of dolls. There is a dollhouse built to resemble the inn, and she takes several dolls and places them in the house. However, she notices that one of them, a deliveryman, is sprawled at the base of the stairs. Tyler hears a scream and goes to investigate, and sees the driver sprawled at the bottom of the stairs, his neck broken and a shattered doll lying next to him. |

Dr. George Waxler is interviewing Scott Carey, who explains that as of a year ago, he discovered he had an ability to touch something and electrocute it. Scott has refused so far, but warns that the Yellow-Eyed Man has plans for him. |

Dean moves down the hallway of a building in the town of River Grove, near Crater Lake. He enters a room where a young man insists that "it" isn't in him. Others agree with him, but Dean insists that the man isn't himself any more. A doctor admits that she can't tell for sure, and Dean aims his gun and pulls the trigger...
And Sam wakes up from his dream, lying on the floor, as Dean comes in. The brothers hit the road and head for River Grove, Oregon, near Crater Lake. Sam explains what he saw but doesn't know if the man in his vision was possessed. Dean figures that he had a good reason, but Sam isn't so sure. They arrive in River Grove and Sam sees one of the men in his vision. They go over to talk to the man, Mark, and identify themselves as U.S. Marshals. Sam gives Mark a description of Dean's victim in his dream, and Dean notes that John was also in the Marines. Mark identifies the man as Duane Tanner, who lives with his family. As they leave, Sam notice the word "Croatoan" written on a telephone pole, and reminds Dean of how a similar word was found written in the colony of Roanoke, and all of the settlers disappeared overnight. Dean figures whatever is going on is tied to the Yellow-Eyed Demon, and Dean tries to call out to Bobby and Ellen. There's no signal, and the land lines are dead. |

In Greenwood Mississippi in August, 1938, bluesman Robert Johnson is playing at a roadhouse. In the middle of his song, he hears a dog growling in the distance. The audience members also notice, and Robert tries to go on, but the shadow of a dog passes by the windows. The barking grows louder and Johnson runs outside and into the woods. The growling sounds follow him, and something moves in the brushes. Johnson drops his guitar and runs into a cabin, barring the door behind him. Something slams into it and he bars the door, and then collapses to his knees. Seconds later, Johnson’s lady and two of the audience members who have followed Johnson break down the door, and find the bluesman having convulsions. As they go to get the doctor, the woman asks Johnson what happened. He mutters, "dogs" and then dies. |

In Baltimore, Maryland, Detective Peter Sheridan is at the station house taking a call and receiving a fax from St. Louis. He and his partner, Detective Diana Ballard, lead a team to a motel and arrest the occupant: Sam Winchester. Later, Sheridan talks to one of his captives and notes that he tortured a young woman, but supposedly died. He notes that Karen Giles is the last victim that the captive will kill. Dean just watches him. |

In Philadelphia, apartment resident Katie calls her landlord to demand that he check the faulty electrical wiring in her new apartment. As she hangs up, Katie notices a drop of a black tarry substance on the table. As she examines it, more of the substance drips down from the ceiling. It starts pouring out of an open electrical switch. As Katie looks at the open box, she sees a man peering at her from the other side and retreats, screaming. |

In Blue Ridge, Oklahoma, Dr. Jennings is walking down the city street when he gets a phone call. He answers it and then sees himself taking a shotgun and cocking it. He smiles and walks down the street to a gun shop. The owner, Dennis, greets him by name, and is surprised when Jennings says he wants to look at a gun. Dennis obliges and gives Jennings the specific shotgun he asks for, and provides him with some shells to check. Jennings loads it up, against store policy, and then casually shoots and kills Dennis. The doctor tells everyone to relax, and then places the gun beneath his chin and pulls the trigger. |

Neil meets his girl pal Angela Mason and offers her chocolate, beer, and emo music to console her after her breakup. There's a knock on the door and they figure it's Angela's ex, Matt Harrison. Neil answers the door and tells Matt to chill out, but Matt shoves his way in. When he goes to the kitchen, there's no sign of Angela.
Angela is driving through the night, crying, when she gets a call from Matt. He tries to apologize but she refuses to accept it. As she screams at Matt, and then says that she loves him, she hits an embankment and is killed instantly. |

In Red Lodge, Montana, a woman runs through the woods as something chases her. She trips on a log and goes down, while a figure in a long coat and hat closes in. The woman finally takes refuge behind a tree and tries to remain silent. When she emerges, the man is waiting for her and decapitates her with a sickle.
Dean finishes repairing the Impala, better than ever, and he and Sam hit the road for Red Lodge, where cattle mutilations and two corpses with severed heads have been reported. Posing as reporters, they talk to the sheriff, who thinks they're joking when they suggest the cattle mutilations are connected to the decapitations. He explains that a rotting cow bloats and looks like it's been cut open, and tells them to get out. The brothers next go to morgue, posing as doctors, and con the mortician into leaving. Once he's gone, they check the woman's head for Satanic marking. They don't find any, but Dean does find hidden fangs. The brothers realize the woman was a vampire. |

In Medford, Wisconsin, the Cooper Carnival sets up shop. A young girl, Nora, laughs at the clowns, while her father admits that he's always hated clowns. His wife tells him to hush and let Nora enjoy herself. As they tour the carnival, Nora notices a clown standing off to one side. She waves to him and he waves. but disappears when Nora points him out to her parents. They figure she made it up. As the family drives home, Nora sees the clown standing on the side of the road as they pass. She tries to point him out to her parents, but they've gone too far past. In bed that night, Nora is lying awake when she sees a shadow on the lawn. She looks down and sees the clown standing below. She goes downstairs and waves to him through the patio door, and then lets him in and takes his hand. |

She reveals her demon eyes and Pastor Jim he says that she can't be on hallowed ground. When she says it only works on minor demons, Pastor Jim runs into the back and goes to a room filled with dozens of weapons. Meg kicks her way in and Pastor Jim throws a rune-inscribed knife at her. She catches it and says that she wants the Winchesters, and Pastor Jim says he hasn't spoken to John in over a year, and he wouldn't tell her if he did know where they were. Meg agrees, cuts his throat, and walks away. |

As Mr. Telesca passes the portrait, he fails to notice that a straight razor is now missing from the portrait. He goes into the bedroom and gets into bed, and discovers blood on his hand. As they explore the house, Craig talks about how the legends say that the ghost of the house preys on young girls and hangs them up in the root cellar. They go into the cellar and find a girl suspended by her neck from the ceiling. |

In Chicago, a young woman, Meredith Allen, walks down the street, unaware that someone is following her. The music on her iPod suddenly goes dead and a wind springs up. She finally unlocks the door and gets inside, and then activates the security system. Meredith gets a beer and checks her answering machine, unaware that a shadow has appeared on the wall behind her. It rams its claws through her back, killing her. |

Later that week, Dean and Sam arrive, posing as state policeman, and ask what Evan saw. He says that he heard a noise like a monster would make, and his mother makes him admit that he was watching a monster movie at the time. Evan describes the monster's noise as a whining growl. |

In a quiet suburban neighborhood in Michigan, a man pulls into his garage and the door closes by itself. The doors lock and the engine starts up, pumping out monoxide fumes. The man is unable to shut off the engine and quickly starts to choke, and soon collapses, dead...
And Sam wakes up from his dream. He wakes up Dean and says that they have to go right now. As they drive, Sam poses as a detective on the phone and has the local police check out the license plate he saw in his dream. Dean figures that it's just a nightmare, but the police confirm that the car belongs to a Jim Miller in Saginaw. They arrive at the house where the police are already checking out what appears to be a suicide. They talk to a neighbor, who insists that Jim wasn't the suicidal type. Sam wonders what the point is having dreams of people dying when he can't stop them, and insists that something trapped Jim in his car and killed him. Dean admits that he's worried about Sam, and figures they can check it out in the morning and talk to Jim's wife and son. When Sam notes that they won't want to talk to them, Dean has an idea. |

Holly takes the pie as the father, Harley, finishes filling their car up with gas. Vince shakes Harley's hand, and the daughter, Emily, comments on Vince's arm tattoo. Stacey and Harley give them directions to the interstate and the couple goes on their ways. |

As they get the children out of the basement, the creature grabs Sam as he goes up the stairs. Dean fires a taser at it and tells Sam to get the children out, while he goes in after the monster. It knocks him down into a puddle of water on the floor and comes after him, and Dean fires the taser again. It shocks the creature, which is standing in the puddle, but electrocutes Dean as well. At the Roosevelt Asylum in Rockford, Illinois, two police officers notice that kids have broken in again. The older officer, Daniel Gunderson, explains to the new officer, Lt. Walter Kelly, that the abandoned asylum has a bad reputation, and it's rumored that anyone who sleeps there for the night is driven insane. They discover that whoever broken in used heavy-duty bolt cutters to cut the padlock. The officers split up to search and Gunderson's flashlight goes out, while someone watches him from a nearby door. Meanwhile, Gunderson finds the kids and sends them on their way. Kelly meets him outside and says that he didn't find anything. As they get in the car to go, Kelly's nose bleeds briefly. |

Jenny checks and assures her that there's nothing there. She then puts Sairie to bed and assures her that the three of them, including Sairie's brother Ritchie, will all be happy there despite Sairie's misgivings. As Jenny goes, her daughter asks her to prop the chair in front of the closet doorknobs. |

In the town of Oasis Plains, Oklahoma, workers are laboring at a new housing tract. One of the gas company employees admires the expensive houses, and then slaps at a mosquito on his neck. The other one, Dustin, notices that the ground is rumbling. The dirt suddenly falls in and he drops, breaking his ankle. As his co-worker Travis goes to get a rope, Dustin notices thousands of bugs in the hole with him. Travis returns and discovers that Dustin is dead, bleeding from his eyes and nose. |

At the Theta Sorority at an eastern Iowa university in Ankeny, Lori Sorenson asks her roommate, Taylor, for tips on dressing for her date. She borrows an outfit and leaves to meet with her boyfriend, Rich, go driving. He pulls off the road and says they can't arrive early, but she suspects he has an ulterior motive. They start to kiss but Lori's father calls. She ignores it and he starts to undress her, but he stops him. They're unaware that a shadowy figure lurks nearby, holding a hook. Rich tries again and she insists that he stops. They hear a screeching noise as the intruder drags his hook across the nearby signs and then fades away. Rich gets out to investigate and sees scratches appear on the car with no visible source. One of the tires is punctured and the rear windshield shatters. Startled, Lori is unable to find Rich outside. She locks the doors and closes the windows. Something lands on the roof of Rich's car and Lori gets out, and spots Rich, dead, hanging upside down from the bridge above his car. |

In St. Louis, a man tortures a woman inside of a house. The police move inside, guns drawn, and look for the man. They find the woman and free her, and she gestures toward the neighboring room. The police go inside and spot the man trying to get out the window. They order him to drop the knife and he turns: it's Dean, covered in blood.

Three 10-year-old girls are playing “Truth or Dare” at the home of one of them, Lily Shoemaker. One girl dares Lily to enter the bathroom and utter “Bloody Mary” three times before the mirror. Legend says this will summon Bloody Mary, variously a ghost, witch, or wronged woman, who will scratch out the eyes of whoever summoned her. Lily takes the dare and says “Bloody Mary” twice. A wind starts to pick up out of nowhere. At the end of the third recitation, her friends hammer on the door, scaring her. However, Lily emerges unharmed. The noise rouses the girl’s father, Steven Shoemaker, who asks them to keep the noise down. He returns to his room, passing several reflective surfaces. Each one reflects a darkly shrouded girl, her face obscured by her hair. Steve goes to the bathroom and takes some medicine, and then stares in surprise at his reflection as veins spread across the right side of his face. |

Inside of a tent, two college-age boys, Brad and Gary, are playing handheld video games while a creature lurks outside. In the other tent, the third camper, Tommy Collins, uses his handheld camcorder to record a message to his sister Haley back home. Brad goes out relieve himself next to a tree. He starts hearing rustling noises and notices branches moving. The boys back at camp hear Brad screaming and start calling out to their friend. The creature rips through the tent and grabs Gary, and then goes after Tommy. |

A dog barks in the down the street from a two-story house. Inside the house, Mary Winchester carries her older son, Dean, into the into the nursery to check on Dean’s younger brother, Sam. Dean kisses the six-month-old Sam goodnight. Dean runs over to the doorway when his father John, comes in. appears; his father scoops him up in his arms and asks if he thinks Sam is ready to toss the football around yet. Mary and John leave, turning off the lights behind them. Sam wiggles around in his crib, staring at the mobile above him. As he stares at the mobile, it starts to turn on its own and the lights flicker. |
